The Diary Of A CEO with Steven Bartlett

Davina McCall has been an icon of television for 40 years. The host of Big Brother for over a decade, tens of millions of people looked to Davina to bring a national obsession into their homes.  But few know the real story of Davina. From a heartbreaking childhood that saw her take drugs with her mother to hosting one of the biggest shows in the world, she’s come a long way. At every step along her journey, no one was going to define her but herself. No matter how many times she got hurt no one could take away the one thing she could control, her resilience.  Consistently breaking down barriers and forging new paths, Davina was the first female television host to put her bubbly and occasionally feisty persona front and centre, and she was the first mainstream figure to create a fitness platform that has inspired millions of people to get active in the fifteen years she’s been in the game. Having consistently inspired so many people in her life, she dropped by to gift us some of her inspiration too.  Topics:  Your most defining moment  What did you want to be when you were 16?  When did you first go into TV  The moment you got off drugs  Hypnosis healing trauma  Your desire to be famous  Your states of happiness now  Your career in TV  Manifestation  Your sister Caroline  The process of grief  Your book Menopausing  Men dealing with menopausal women  Forgiving your mother  The last guest question  Davina:  Instagram - https://bit.ly/3GCcF7P Twitter - https://bit.ly/3XafyCp Davina's book: https://bit.ly/3WNHhc9 Watch the episodes on Youtube: https://g2ul0.app.link/3kxINCANKsb  Follow: Instagram: https://bit.ly/3CXkF0d Twitter: https://bit.ly/3ss7pM0 Linkedin: https://bit.ly/3z3CSYM Telegram: https://g2ul0.app.link/SBExclusiveCommun  Sponsors:  Huel - https://g2ul0.app.link/G4RjcdKNKsb  Intel - https://bit.ly/3FxWMO2

In Conversation about the menopause with… Davina McCall and Carolyn Harris

JUSTICE with prison philanthropist Edwina Grosvenor

In this week’s episode Edwina explores the often unspoken impact of menopause on women’s lives. Despite the fact that 51% of the population will experience menopause, and the estimated 13 million people who are currently peri or menopausal in the UK, this topic has remained taboo. Edwina speaks to two advocates driving change in the national conversation around menopause on their experience of this transition, and what needs to change to ensure more women have access to the support they need – including those in the justice system. Edwina’s first guest is Davina McCall, renowned TV presenter and household name. As well as presenting shows such as Big Brother and The Million Pound Drop, Davina has presented documentaries exploring the Menopause. She is also the author of Menopausing, The Positive Roadmap to Your Second Spring which seeks to debunk myths, and breaks the shameful silence over the menopause. Edwina’s second guest is Carolyn Harris, MP for Swansea East who established and now chairs the all-party parliamentary group (APPG) on menopause. Carolyn has played a pivotal role in putting menopause on the national agenda, and has recently published an inquiry into the impacts of Menopause on women and families as part of her work for the APPG on menopause. Davina McCall

Changes with Annie Macmanus

Series finale time, and we're not just talking "a" change, we're talking THE change – with a bona fide national treasure, no less. Davina McCall is part of the fabric and texture of day to day life in the UK. As a TV presenter she has been a warm, generous, and deeply empathetic fixture on our televisions since the dawn of Big Brother at the beginning of the millennium. The path she'd taken to that point was pretty bumpy, and you'll hear her talk a little bit about that in this conversation, but the main reason that we've invited Davina onto Changes is to talk about the menopause. Like countless women, Davina was blindsided by the first signs of her own perimenopause, ten years ago, and she's spent much of the time since trying to get to the bottom of the truth about what was happening to her body. She's discovered more than she could have possibly imagine, and she's on a mission to share that information with as many people as possible, so that the big change of menopause might be less of an ambush for generations of women still to come.
