The Relationship School Podcast

Fathers in today’s culture are often expected to do more and be more than in the past—and it can be a challenge. At the same time, fatherhood can be an integral part of your spiritual growth and vice versa. It might feel like each segment of your life is in its own little box, but the reality is that they all affect each other even if we don’t realize it. Join me for this week’s episode as fatherhood coach Dan Doty and I discuss fatherhood, spirituality, and bonding with your kids. Talks 349 - Dan Doty, Wilderness Guide, Men's Coach, Meditation Teacher

The Spaniard Show

Dan Doty really liked Spanny’s question early in this talk, which boiled down to, ”How can I relate you to other outdoorsmen that I know?” Because it’s hard for Spanny to connect those others to Dan’s interest in natural medicines, shamanism, emotional health and spirituality. Dan calls this his Uncle Test, because he has family members who don’t see the world the way he does. But everyone has emotions, he notes—even men!—and he knows how to guide people toward the healing, sustaining gifts of nature. Sometimes through some wild (literally) means. Enjoy this talk with a huge-hearted, wide-open-minded guy who also latched onto Spanny’s analogy of ”that max hot wing that I can really eat and like.” (Listen for it!) ... 49 - Dan Doty Knows Masculinity Is Due For A Revolution

Bo Knows Stuff

I met Dan in NYC through a men’s group which certainly at the time pushed my bounds of comfort levels with expressing my emotions. I’m currently participating in a weekly virtual men’s group that I attribute to folks like Dan pushing the envelope around revolutionizing what it means to be a “man” in this modern era.

#18: Dan Doty — Reclaiming Our Emotions and Congruency as Gift

Spaces Between with Al Jeffery

What does it truly mean to reclaim our emotions, to live in integrity with our inner and outer lives in congruence? Not only supporting men in their path of healing and renewal, what does this look like as we as a culture come into community congruence? Dan is the Co-Founder at EVRYMAN and has spent many years stewarding a more integrated masculinity. We touch on the cultural forces at play and balancing both compassion and courage in owning our work as men in restoring a culture that supports all. We also inquire into the importance of description as opposed to prescription in exploring a more inclusive and representative view on masculinity or personhood. This one's not just for those who identify as men, it's for anyone swimming in our culture in this time. --Show-notes and links hereConnect with me on InstagramConnect with me on FacebookMusic by RhoneSupport the show (https://aljeffery.com/podcast/)
