3. Sarah Blair – Visualising Grammar

What on earth is a noun phrase?

On this episode, our guest is Sarah Blair, and we discuss her ideas around visualising grammar. Sarah trained as an illustrator and came to TEFL via an interest in graphic novels and a desire to work in Paris. Paris didn't evolve in quite the way she'd intended, but what did emerge was a long-term project to create a visual guide to English grammar. She also teaches writing and communication skills at the Royal College of Art.You can learn more about what Sarah does via her LinkedIn page at www.tinyurl.com/sarahblairgrammar or via Twitter at www.twitter.com/Blstockingue. DIY Writer #25 Sarah Blair

DIY Writer Podcast

Sarah is quite a character. Her books and her insane fixation with X-Files makes her very interesting to talk to. Enjoy. Sarah Blair has been writing since her early teenage years when she penned her first ever fan fiction for The X-Files. Her love of all things sexy, snarky, and supernatural developed from reading the greats of the paranormal world, Anne Rice, Laurell K. Hamilton, and Charlaine Harris, as well as thrilling tales of murder and mystery from Chelsea Cain, Tess Gerritsen, Kathy Reichs, and Patricia Cornwell.Spending her formative years living in New York City, Sarah was always fascinated by the parts of the city most people never see; wondering what was behind the millions of windows in the skyscrapers, and hidden in the shadows just beyond the hustle and bustle of the busy city streets. While living a semester abroad at Swansea University in Wales she traveled to nearby Bath and Glastonbury often, drawing inspiration for her writing from the myths and legends surrounding the area.Blair weaves all of these life experiences and writing styles into her own unique Urban Fantasy world, casting the bright lights of the Big Apple on the legends of yore, and entangling the fairy tales and superstitious beliefs of history with modern science and magic. https://sarahlblair.com/ https://www.instagram.com/author.sarah.blair/ https://twitter.com/sarahlblair https://www.patreon.com/thexcast https://twitter.com/TheX_Cast https://msha.ke/author.sarah.blair/#check-it-out
