14. The "Maze" to Marriage (Pt 1) with Camilo Buchanan
Naked + Unashamed
SEASON TWO BAYBEEEEEEE. What a time. This entire month of February, there'll be an episode release every Friday. The first three weeks will be a three part episode of The "Maze" to Marriage with Camilo and Emily Buchanan. The last week will be a conversation on being securely single and unpacking the dating dilemma. I'm super excited for y'all to hear these. Now, getting into this episode: Marriage - the thing that society tells us to aspire to and the very thing that is far more complicated than the world likes to admit. Marriage is often portrayed as a destination -- a place where you can release your sexual desires, have a built-in person, and finally escape the clutches of loneliness, right? We've been taught that life is a maze, and singleness exists to navigate the confusing path we call life for a period of time until we reach the end of the path where you meet your person, get married, solve all your problems, and live happily ever after! Right?! Not quite. Not even in the slightest. In reality, marriage exposes singleness and in this episode, we sit with Camilo Buchanan as he shares his story of how God intricately and beautifully continues to redeem and reflect His glory on his imperfect journey. Ultimately, all of our stories are full of brokenness and moments that we simply don't know what's next -- what we are reminded in this episode is that God's pen has never run out of ink and He's never written a bad story. Part 2 + 3 with Emily Buchanan will be released on February 12th and 19th. To keep up with Camilo and his ministry, follow him @iamkingcam on Instagram!
