Lili Lile, is an actress, yoga teacher and kidney disease patient advocate. For the last six years Lili has been receiving hemodialysis treatment.    Lili was diagnosed with kidney disease IgA nephropathy at the age of 20 y.o. The diagnosis was surprising and divesting especially after her nephrologist suggested that Lili has to prepare for kidney transplant within 6 months. Lili decided to take time to educate herself on CKD, renal diet and the ways to postpone her kidney failure. She came across Gerson therapy and the plant-based diet that gave her a better understanding on how to protect her kidneys. The lifestyle change was rewarding on her health but overtime it became challenging to maintain the very strict diet and Lili had to go on Dialysis.    Being on Dialysis have taught Lili a great amount of strengths and resilience. After some time on dialysis Lili was able to return to the plant-based diet that truly transformed her wellbeing while helping her to manage her labs, vitals and reduce hers hemodialysis treatment only to two sessions a week.
