Going From Surviving to Thriving with Catherine Kenneally
Catherine Kenneally is a forty-something microbiologist turned engineer turned nutritionist who has run her own nutrition practice for the past 10 years. She sees private clients and also lectures in nutritional therapy. She notices from clients and friends that the 40s are the age when many women start to notice symptoms of getting older - tiredness, achyness and 'flat'. Most peopIe think that this is an unavoidable part of getting older. They are also often concerned about what menopause has in store for them. Catherine has developed a program called From Surviving to Thriving that helps these women to shake off that feeling and get back their zest for life. And this will also help to set them up for an easier menopause! In this episode, we talk about: :: her journey to embrace and educate on nutrition :: the common hormonal imbalances women face :: how she uses the nutritional content of food to support hormonal balance :: why improving liver and gut function are important factors to consider :: her favorite tea (hint: it's rooibos) :: her approach to menopausal symptom management :: the role of herbs in hormonal management You can find her online here, on Facebook here, and on IG @catherinekenneallylivewell.
