We all experience negative feelings like self-doubt, fear of failure, imposter syndrome, feeling like we don’t deserve our success, insecurities about the future. These feelings are perfectly normal, but they CAN hold you back from taking the right risks and achieving your goals. Learning to accept and navigate these feelings is the key to overcoming them, and 100% of that lies in taking control of your mindset and reframing those negative thoughts into empowering affirmations. You’re probably thinking, “Erin, that’s easier said than done.” And you’re right. But there are some simple and highly effective strategies you can use that WILL teach you how to face your fears! Reframing: Turning Negatives into Positives Your subconscious mind is always trying to guide you and help you avoid dangerous situations and poor choices, and often that’s where these feelings of fear and insecurity come from. However, it comes at the danger of becoming risk-averse and not taking chances, and seizing opportunities. The secret of how to face your fears effectively is to accept that you’re feeling these feelings and then reframe them. When you find yourself feeling negative emotions, follow this process: Write down exactly what you’re feeling. For example: “I’m worried that taking this risk will end in failure and turn into a costly mistake that I’ll end up regretting.” Reframe what you’ve written into a positive statement that speaks directly to your goals. For example: “I am capable of taking smart risks that can create new opportunities for myself!” Mentally repeat this positive affirmation. Let your subconscious absorb this new way of looking at the situation. When you follow these steps, what happens is that you begin to see the situation from a different perspective. By repeating this affirmation, you’re telling your subconscious that this more positive perspective is the better way of processing this feeling. It’s powerful, and it works! How to Face Your Fears Through Positive Daily Habits Your mindset is a lot like a juicer: you get out of it a concentrated form of what you put in it. If you develop a habit of noticing your feelings, reframing them, and turning them into empowering statements, you start feeding your subconscious a much healthier diet. It turns into a habit and seeing the positive side of situations begins to be second nature. This is a huge key for unlocking your potential! I encourage you to listen to this week’s episode of the Pursuing Freedom podcast for more strategies to help you take control of your mindset and overcome the negative thoughts and feelings that are holding you back! #136: Scaling a Business to Put More Time Back into Your Day, with Erin Bradley

Pursuing Freedom

In this episode, I discuss the importance of scaling a business so you can put more time back into your day! Hear insights about: Why scaling a business enables you to achieve greater time and financial freedom How to leverage time, resources, and people to get the most out of our businesses Why success doesn’t have to come at a price How to determine what to delegate so you can focus on activities that only YOU can do What to look for in ideal candidates as you grow your team How to approach energy management as you scale your business How to organize your business to support your lifestyle vision The Art of Scaling a Business After 6 months on the road with my family, I am finally back at my office in Winter Park, CO. I am bursting with energy because when I first got into the real estate business, a trip like that would have been a complete fantasy! Scaling a business enables us to leverage time, resources, and even people to create more space in our lives for personal and professional growth. This process results in more energy, creativity, clarity, focus, productivity and so much more! Growth and scale are the keys to achieving the time and financial freedom you were seeking when you started. Stop Surviving Success Whether you are a brand new real estate agent or a seasoned veteran, chances are you’re reading this because you’re serious about success. Wherever you are on your journey, it’s important to prepare for your success, in order to avoid letting it rob you of your time, energy and sometimes happiness. Don’t get me wrong; success requires sacrifice. There’s a saying about entrepreneurs, something about working like most people won’t in order to someday live like most people can’t. On the other hand, the growth of your business should not prevent you from enjoying the very success you’ve been seeking once achieved! When you do it right, you’ll find yourself energized, organized, and creating predictable growth, leveraging your natural gifts as well as the gifts of others. You’ll create opportunities for everyone around you, while giving yourself permission to enjoy the fruits of your labor! Delegate and Automate The real estate industry is a roller coaster at the bottom, and it is a roller coaster at the top. If you are not enjoying the ride, it is time to take a step back and figure out what you can change! It doesn’t matter if you are able to pay the bills if your life is suffering as a result, and scaling a business can help you mitigate that lack of balance so you can focus on the revenue-generating activities that only YOU can do! When you figure out exactly what to delegate and offload from your plate, you will start to see results almost immediately. Learn how to get it done in this episode of Pursuing Freedom. #129: Choosing a Niche in Real Estate, with Erin Bradley

Pursuing Freedom

Choosing a niche in real estate might seem counterintuitive at first. In this solocast, I explain how niching down leads to predictable growth in your business. Hear insights about: Why choosing a niche leads to action and ultimately, results How to define your target audience and understand their specific needs Why you should pick a niche based on where you can add the most value, not where you will receive the most value Examples of different niches and how we can address their specific needs Why you should strive to be a solution for other areas of your clients’ lives, not just real estate transactions Why changing your message to one of enthusiasm, joy, and service can spark massive growth in your business Why Choosing a Niche Leads to Growth Q1 is finally here and it is time to find your pace, set your goals for the year, and create an actionable plan to achieve them! We have talked a lot about lead gen strategies because business development is going to play a major role in that process. It is important to figure out exactly who you want to serve, so your biz dev efforts don’t lead to burnout. Choosing a niche in real estate might seem counterintuitive, but it will lead you to more growth than you’ve ever seen from chasing every opportunity you come across. If you can identify a specific market segment and become the go-to expert in that niche, you will build consistent, predictable results that will fast-track you to achieving your goals! Addressing Your Target’s Needs In my experience, choosing a niche creates energy that converts into action and ultimately, results. It doesn’t necessarily mean you are limiting the scope of who you will work with. It means that, by defining a target market, you can get creative with the ways you address their specific needs. When you understand the specific needs of a market segment, you will identify new ways to solve them. This process of niching down is where creative pathways to growth are discovered, and it all stems from defining who you decide to serve! Keep Adding Value The reason choosing a niche leads to growth is because it creates a flurry of sales activity that doesn’t feel like sales activity at all! When you are focused on serving a specific target audience, you are not worried about what you are going to get out of your interactions. The only thing you need to worry about is what you are going to GIVE that subset of the community and how you can continue adding value beyond what you’re getting paid for. Identify a niche, understand their needs, and address them—this is the key to predictable growth in your business! #110 Fourth Quarter Planning, with Erin Bradley

Pursuing Freedom

Real Estate Tools: What You Will Learn: The three key components of the planning process How I created my first business plan ever What I did to overcome my fear and set more challenging goals Why building a schedule is so critical to your success The importance of respecting your own time as much as you respect everyone else’s How to take the wheel of your biz dev efforts and control the outcome to get what you want What real estate tools I am using to plan for 2021 How to deal with the epidemic of call reluctance in our industry How to nurture your relationships in a non-salesy way Real Estate Planning in Q4 Planning is one of the most powerful real estate tools that we have at our disposal. Every year, I geek out about planning as we approach the 4th quarter, because it is one of the few business activities that guarantee success if done properly! It is one of the three pillars of success in real estate, and it keeps you on track as you build a life and business that you don’t need a vacation from! In this solocast episode of Pursuing Freedom, I walk through the fundamentals of the planning process and explain how to prep for a lucrative year using my framework. The Key Components of Planning Real estate tools like planning are easier to use when you break them down and look at the different parts. Planning is made up of three key components: reflection, vision, and scheduling. If you don’t take time to reflect, you’ll never know what to tweak moving forward. If you don’t have a clear vision, you’ll have no idea where to go or what you need to do to get there. Lastly, if you don’t create some sort of schedule, you’ll have no idea how to measure your progress or make adjustments as necessary. Combined, they produce serious results while eliminating energy-draining activities and shortening your workweek. This is something that every real estate professional should be doing, no matter how you feel about it initially. We have covered reflection and vision a lot, but scheduling is something that many of us try to avoid. Real Estate Tools: Scheduling If you have been following the show for a while, you’ve probably heard me talk a lot about real estate tools like time blocking, morning routine, etc. But we haven’t spent much time looking at planning as part of the big picture. Scheduling is a huge piece of it, and it is a word many real estate professionals despise. Most of us became our own bosses so we don’t have to adhere to a schedule. But the reality is that without one, you’ll find yourself working far more hours than you were at your previous job. With no gameplan, you waste a ton of time and energy making decisions every single day. Don’t let other people’s agendas determine how you run your life! Once you master the planning process, the power to win the day is in your hands. #108 Set for Success, with Erin Bradley

Pursuing Freedom

Real Estate Strategy: What You Will Learn: How to use Set For Success to achieve anything you set your mind to How to completely transform your life and business in as little as 60-90 days by fine-tuning your real estate strategy How to perform a brain dump so you can gain clarity and free up space in your mind for more critical activities The importance of building a morning routine with intention, gratitude, and affirmation Why you need to pick up the dang phone! How to maintain your client relationships and build your database in a non-salesy way How to get clear on your priorities so you can have less work with more output The art of time blocking Guarantee Your Results We are quickly approaching the fourth quarter, which many of us know as business-planning season. We reflect on the year, the parts of our real estate strategy that worked or didn’t work, the relationships we formed, and so many other big things. The ultimate goal is to figure out what we can improve upon so that our goals for 2021 are not only achievable but inevitable! In this episode of Pursuing Freedom, we walk through The Set for Success framework, and I explain how you can use it to achieve guaranteed results when you put your mind to something! Reflect and Plan No matter where you are in your real estate journey, it is important to get off the hamster wheel and reflect so you can plan a foolproof real estate strategy for the next year! It will enable you to move forward with more focus, more energy, and more clarity so you can magnetize the results you seek. The whole idea behind Set For Success is to guarantee those results. If you start working on this process and applying its principles in your own life with consistency, you will see a transformation in as little as 60-90 days. Set for Success Many of us are running around, overcommitted, overconnected, and ultimately burnt out at the end of the day because we can’t even measure what we accomplished. An ineffective real estate strategy can be fixed by starting your day with intention! Winning the day starts in the morning, so we need to create a morning routine that is driven by intention, gratitude, and affirmation. In doing so, you are managing yourself to manage every other aspect of your life. But you still need to pick up the damn phone if you want to grow your business. Reach out to your past clients and manage those relationships in an authentic way. Focus on building your database by leveraging your network. However you choose to go about it, you will see guaranteed results if you follow this process with consistency.
