Bird Research at Nashville’s Warner Parks (and local bird phenomena) with Laura Cook and Kathy Shaw

Mark Fraley Podcast

Nashville’s Warner Park Nature Center has  a long history of excellence and leadership when it comes to birds.  They  have been banding birds and promoting awareness of birds for more then 40 years.  Over the past year they  have been engaged in a new program called MOTIS which represents a significant advancement in the technology of bird research. This program uses tiny radio transmitter  tags powered by solar energy together with a network of radio receiving stations to track bird movements and travel patterns. We talk with Laura Cook, the head of the Warner Park BIRD program, together with Kathy Shaw  park volunteer (former TN State Park Ranger/ Naturalist)  about this new technology.  We also take the opportunity to learn from them about the remarkable roost of purple martin bird currently occurring in downtown Nashville. https://www.markfraley.com/wp-content/uploads/Interview-with-Laura-and-Kathy.mp3 The post Bird Research at Nashville’s Warner Parks (and local bird phenomena) with Laura Cook and Kathy Shaw appeared first on Mark Fraley Podcast.

17. Kathy Shaw: 1, 2, 3...RUN! A Story of Survival.

Reverie True Crime

In the summer of 1982, a young lady, Kathy Shaw was abducted, raped, and tortured for 3 days and 3 nights. A split decision saved her life. Now she spends her days wondering where this man is now. Is he the cause of most of the missing women in the Rockingham and Caswell county areas in North Carolina? Are there women that didn’t escape? Her case is closed and I have started a petition for all of us to ban together to get it reopened. Please sign: http://chng.it/MhZbCCzWPodcast Promo: Weird DistractionsSources:Kathy Shaw ❤️If you’d like to join the Patreon for $3 a month, you can do so here: Patreon.com/ReverieTrueCrimeTwitter: @ReverieCrimePodInstagram: @ReverieTrueCrimeTumblr: @ReverieTrueCrimeFacebook: www.Facebook.com/ReverieTrueCrimeIf you’ve had something spooky or scary happen to you, I’m taking listener stories for “Spooktober Stories”. Episode 028: Interview with Marc and Kathy Shaw

All In! Living the Mission of God

This week I interview Marc and Kathy Shaw. Marc and Kathy have been church planters, pastors, missionaries, regional leaders for Europe, and my former boss. Now, they are answering the call of God to return to Europe to plant a church in Vienna, Austria. But first: I need your help! I want this podcast to be a resource to serve you but I need you help to do it. I'm conducting a 10 question survey that will help me make this podcast helpful to you. I will be running the survey from June 15-30, so head on over and take the survey. Finding God, hearing the call of God, church planting, burnout, cancer, God's provisions, and saying yes to Jesus to make disciples: It's all here in this week's episode. Marc and Kathy plan to deploy to Vienna in October of this year. You can connect with them on FaceBook (for Marc, click HERE, for Kathy, click HERE) or by email: marcodareshaw@gmail.com. To partner with them to reach Vienna visit their FMI Give Site. Don't forget to subscribe to the podcast in iTunes or Stitcher so you don't miss an episode. If you're enjoying this podcast, spread the word by sharing it with your friends through social media and leaving a review on iTunes. As always, you can connect with me on Facebook or Twitter. It's your life, now go live it! Don't forget about the survey I'm conducting! Fill it out here.
