In this special two part episode of the Able Voice Podcast we have connected with five wonderful music therapists who share with us their journey in the field as male identifying individuals. In this first part of the conversation we are joined by Stephen Tok and Daniel Robinson to share their outlook and to kick start the discussion! "V3 is Winding Back a Bit of the Uniswap Revolution; It's Going to be Very Influential:" Dan Robinson
In this week’s episode we speak with Dan Robinson, a research partner at Paradigm, one of the most active VC funds in DeFi and crypto. One of the fund’s investments is Unsiwap, where Dan also had a central role in the design of v3, the latest version of DeFi’s most popular decentralized exchange. Dan talks about why Uniswap was so exciting as an investment, and about what drove the change to v3. He believes the new design will impact DeFi and crytpo, while rolling back the very revolution Uniswap itself prompted by creating a more hybrid model. ** Because of connectivity issues, the sound cuts off at times – huge apologies for that. Ethereum is a Dark Forest (Written by Dan Robinson, Recorded by Keith D. Smith III)
Audioblog from the Blockchain Acceleration Foundation
Dan Robinson and Georgios Konstantopoulos describe Ethereum smart contracts' fascinating environment and how some people are lurking to exploit them with a concrete example in their article: https://medium.com/@danrobinson/ethereum-is-a-dark-forest-ecc5f0505dff Learn more about BAF: https://www.blockchainacceleration.org/ Follow BAF on Twitter: https://twitter.com/TheBAFNetwork
At 18 years old, Dan Robinson was 100% convinced that he was going to be a mathematician. He went to college at Stanford, and when he got there, he realized that math beyond high school was very different.. and as such, he didn't want to make that his day job. He always enjoyed making stuff, specifically with computers, and he started leaning into computer science and deep learning projects. He loves to hike, and be outside with his friends. Recently, he has gotten addicted to chess online - though he claims he's not any good at it. So addicted, that he had to have his close friend hold onto his account password for him.Dan is originally from Boston, which is his excuse for being direct and difficult to work with. In fact, he finds it so strange that people don't interrupt others more in the bay area.Previously, the CEO of Dan's current venture was a PM at Facebook - and he couldn't get basic answers to how people used the platform. Similar problems were popping up for Dan at Palantir, causing long cycles just to get a single question answered. They both were thinking - there HAS to be a better way. This is the creation story of Heap.SponsorsPodcornUnidragonLinksWebsite: https://heap.io/LinkedIn: https://www.linkedin.com/in/dan-robinson-a6930726/Leave us a review on Apple Podcasts Amazing tools we use:If you want the best publishing platform for your podcast, with amazing support & people - use Transistor.fmWant to record your remote interviews with class? 253: Expert Edition: Dr Dan Robinson, ENT Surgeon: ‘Navigating nasal obstruction’
The Physical Performance Show
On this episode, I share with you a conversation I recently had with Gold Coast based ear nose and throat surgeon Dr Dan Robinson on all things navigating nasal obstruction. One in three people experience nasal obstruction. Listen in as Dr Dan Robinson shares around the different types of nasal obstruction, how nasal obstruction presents in both children and fully grown adults, the different types of obstructive sleep apnea; central and peripheral and how each of those presents, the physiology of breathing and why when we exercise most of it occurs through the mouth yet that's reversed when we sleep with the bulk of breathing happening through our nose. Dr Dan shares around nasal anatomy including the nasal valve and why it is so important and importantly how to treat nasal obstruction and the treatment pathway or sieve as Dr Dan Robinson refers to it as that exists all the way from nasal spray through to devices through to surgical procedures.
