Ep 111 Interview Sessions with Gemma Hunt

Always Better than Yesterday with Ryan Hartley | A Podcast for Heart Centred Leaders

It is so good to have Gemma Hunt back on the podcast. Gemma was originally on Ep 8 when we discussed her career as a children's TV presenter here in the UK with the CBBC.  Gemma has been working in TV since 2003 when she graduated with her First Class Media Performance Degree from The University of Bedfordshire. Having met an agent through a careers day at the University, Gemma's showreel was sent to CBBC who met her for an interview, invited her for a screen test and then offered her a contract with CBBC, all before she had graduated. Gemma started working exclusively for CBBC in July 2003 before going freelance in 2007. 2013 saw Gemma join the CBeebies family on BAFTA award winning pirate gameshow 'Swashbuckle'. Gemma also presents 'Together' - a BBC Learning School Radio show downloadable for school assemblies. You can see Gemma presenting live at Festivals around the UK, including Big Church Day Out and co-presenting the new Alpha Film Series for alpha.org.  Gemma also runs workshops in presenting skills and enjoys working with children, leading storytelling sessions and birthday parties. CBeebies' Gemma Hunt: How God called me to work in TV // Faith Child: Making music that changes lives

The Profile

It was a prophetic word given at Soul Survivor which inspired Gemma Hunt to pursue a career in the media. In this in depth interview with Premier's Ruth Jackson, Gemma opens up about her fascinating career, how a poor relationship choice affected her faith and why 'being silly' is the key to working well with children. In part two, Premier's Simon Tuck sits down with the MOBO award winning artist Faith Child to talk about his music, and how he's coped following his father passing away from Covid-19 earlier this year. The rapper also reveals his influences and tells stories about how his music has changed people's lives for the better.  You can also read our interview with Gemma Hunt in the latest issue of Premier Christianity magazine. Interview Sessions Ep 8 with Gemma Hunt

Always Better than Yesterday with Ryan Hartley | A Podcast for Heart Centred Leaders

Ep 8 of the Always Better than Yesterday Interview Sessions was with the inspiring Gemma Hunt 🙌🏻I approached Gemma because I think she is a perfect example of what it means to love what you do and I think she is a wonderful role model for young children in her role at the CBBC ☠️I really want to be able to show to young people that successful people are no different to them and that with the right attitude and mindset, anything is possible. 🏆It was great to hear Gemma talk about how she found out what she loved to do from an early age which was to entertain children. However, had she listened to her career adviser and played it safe, she may have never ended up fulfilling her hearts desire, her potential and inspiring thousands of young people. 👏🏻At the end of the interview I asked what her 3 big lessons in life were so far. Her response was beautiful. Here’s the short version:1️⃣ follow your hearts desire2️⃣ keep your cheerleaders close3️⃣ always believe in yourself
