You think you have seen a comedy show in a strange place, well Ian tells us about the time he did a charity show in the famous Forest Lawn Cemetery in Hollywood. Taking us back to his early days of comedy in Canada, to turning an explosive’s career in a goldmine, to being one of the absolute best comedians working today. He is a crowd work master, and no two Bagg shows are the same. Make sure to check out his specials “Getting to F*cking Know You” and “Conversations” and watch to his weekly gameshow podcast Around the Bagg on Facebook. Ian Bagg last joined us a decade ago, when he was deported from America and had to slum it in his home province for six weeks. He's back safely ensconced in Southern California . In this episode we talk about his early days in New York (and getting animated on Dr. Katz) and even earlier days getting started in Vancouver. Also doing crowd work at drive-in shows and abusing cyclists at beach shows. Recorded August 20, 2020.
Ian Bagg is the current champion of crowd work but he started out working in a carnival and mining for gold. Ian has some great and original perspective on how a comedian should make themselves rise above the rest of the pack. Check out Ian's website...

Laurie Kilmartin (Vulture's Top Ten Comedy Specials 2016, Emmy award winning writer on Conan O'Brien) and Ian Bagg (finalist on Last Comic Standing Season 9) stop by to tell stories and lies about the grandfather who hated Roosevelt but loved his bayonet, the little boy who bicycled away from stranger danger, and we think it's safe to say...never get the full lobotomy.
