2.2: Coworking + Community: An Unconventional Path with Danielle Stroble
ABOVE + BELOW

Where do you prefer to work? Part of being in alignment with your core values is how you work, where you work, and with whom you work. I like to work at home sometimes, but I still use a fantastic coworking space, and I occasionally resort to the tried-and-true coffee shop, where the low caffeinated hum of others around me brings peace and comfort. Most important to me is that I can work in a place that feels welcoming, cozy, and comfortable--and my coworking space gives me that. I’ve found that a coworking space provides fewer distractions than working at home, and I love the benefits and amenities. If you’ve never tried a coworking space, then today’s show will open your eyes! You can read the full show notes at www.alexandrajamieson.com/243
76: Community over Competition with Danielle Stroble
This is the second of an 8 week series from the Glow at Podcast Row event where I was a top podcaster and featured speaker in NYC! For the next 8 weeks you will hear tips, tricks, and incredible stories from women on a mission. 2/8 with Danielle Stroble! Danielle Stroble makes a habit of keeping things interesting. Throughout her career, she has gravitated to projects large and small that have challenged her and taught her the ins and outs of non- traditional environments. After 20 years of following a path through business, with expertise in financial accounting and business strategy, she began to consult others to craft their ideal business and lifestyle. During her own career pivot, she mastered the art of working with people to help them realize their best life, both professionally and personally. The love of inspired design, value of a great brand and desire for connected experiences led her to launch the beautifully designed Keller Street CoWork in Petaluma, CA. Now she is at the helm of Keller Street CoWork where she takes her project management and people skills to new heights. Most days you can find Danielle engaging with each and every member of KSCW, ensuring that everyone in the community has what they need to be at their most inspired and supported in their business endeavors. An avid podcast listener, Danielle has taken this interest into creating her own podcast I’m Not Gonna Lie, recorded in her newly built studio, within the walls of Keller Street CoWork. Each week she focuses on connecting deeply with inspired guests and their story as well as the topics in business that interest her - of course, with a few side diversions along the way. One day she hopes to mentor and shape the lives of young women who will follow the path they WANT to, rather than the one that they are “supposed” to. Danielle lives in Petaluma with her son and daughter. ———--------- In this episode we talk about: -The importance of community and how to find one -Removing competition and the feeling of comparison with community -Feeling confident with opening up and asking for help -Debunking the myth of co-working spaces -The reason why you feel like you’re loosing time in your day -Finding the perfect workspace for you Questions: -What are the top reasons why community is important to have? -What do you with your co-working space that makes it different than others? -What was the deciding moment that said “I want to create a co-working space”? -What are the must have’s people need when looking for a co-working space? -What advice do you have for someone who wants to start something for themselves yet is fearful? -Since this podcast is all about becoming Fiercely Unstoppable, can you tell us about a time that you overcame an obstacle and when you did you felt victorious? NEW YORK WEEK!!Join Dani as she downloads all the details about her recent trip to NYC, kicking off a week of episodes recorded in the Big Apple.Danielle visited NYC to attend an invitational podcasting summit, giving her an opportunity to level-up her game as well as connect with a group of highly motivated and inspirational women entrepreneurs. The GLOW Podcast Row event was just the beginning of a whirlwind experience that left her feeling (just a little) sad to head back west when it was all over.I'm Not Gonna Lie is hosted by Danielle Stroble with producer Phil Ybarrolaza in Petaluma, CA. This episode was recorded at Keller Street CoWork. https://kellerstreetcowork.com/who-we-are/I'm Not Gonna Lie is a proud member of the Podifornia (podifornia.com) podcast network.
Danielle talks about her three weeks on the East Coast, most of which was in NYC, where her superpowers become weakened. Her bicoastal ambition, 100K Puerto Ricans and the MEGA number all lead her to reevaluate her current "slow" lifestyle and compare life in CA to the Big Apple.
Danielle Stroble: On Divorce and Healing Through Creativity
The Messy Middle
While this Sonoma Valley transplant hails from Arizona, Danielle spent her transformative, post-college, early adult “discovering the world years” living in the Midwestern United States, but traveling the world. Working in the car racing industry for what seemed like a life time, specializing in the “left brain” work of accounting and finance, building businesses, sponsorships and marketing left her feeling like there just HAD to be something more creative on the horizon. Now the creator of her own destiny (and schedule) Danielle is growing her own enterprise as a Business and Lifestyle Strategist and Coach, Desire Map facilitator and all around go-to girl for most things “productivity through technology”. Not as much world travel as auto racing, but WAY more time for the good life in the Bay area. Mama of two littles, lover of binge watching tv (Helloooo Netflix, Hulu and Amazon Video) and dreamer of tiny pockets of free time for creativity, Danielle has a true desire share space with other creative women and prove that when they get together to collaborate, support and lift one another to new heights, so much more is possible. Fav Quote these days: “The most regretful people on earth are those who felt the call to creative work, who felt their own creative power restive and uprising, and gave to it neither power nor time” -Mary Oliver
