Welcome to the 1 Bitcoin Show! The big story of the day is Bcash and its infrastructure funding plan that appears to be very much centralized. Will it work? Is the 12.5% tax really temporary? The Petro is trading at half the price the government says it is worth. What does that really mean? Kim DotCom, some beyond BTC thoughts, Trezor, and more! EDIT- I subtracted 50 months instead of 46 months when talking about December 2020 and October 2016. Recorded in El Paso, TX.

Kim Dotcom’s Grand Bitcoin Vision Nears Launch, Fingerprinting Satoshi, & More - YMB Podcast E190

MP3, Links, and More: http://ymb.tc/e190

This is episode 190 of You, Me, and BTC – your liberty and Bitcoin podcast.

It seems that even the threat of extradition can’t stop Kim Dotcom. He’s been facing piracy charges from the FBI for years and yet continues to develop ways to sling files across the web.

About a year ago, we shared the entrepreneur’s plans for a revolutionary, Bitcoin-based micropayments and file sharing platform (http://ymb.tc/e137). The project was dubbed K.im and currently approaches completion. Dotcom released a demo this week and plans to launch an ICO later this year. We’ll share more details and opinions during tonight’s stream.

Then after that, we’ll cover one Bitcoiner’s theory about how the NSA identified Satoshi Nakamoto. The agency hasn’t revealed this identity, of course, but supposedly they have it. They just needed to grab all of Satoshi’s writings, keep track of how often he used certain words and phrases, and compare those rates with samples from scary-sounding databases like PRISM and MUSCULAR.

There’s no way to know how legitimate this theory is, but it’s still definitely worth talking about. Just how much data do we think government agencies nab from social media networks and communication pipelines? How much do we think they care about identifying Satoshi? Do we think they’ll ever use similar data against us normies?

Tune in at tonight 9PM Eastern for all the excitement and check the list below for some of the specific stories we’ll cover!

- Exclusive: An Inside Look at Kim Dotcom’s Bitcoin-Based Payments Platform
- How the NSA identified Satoshi Nakamoto
- Did you know that the NSA uses Uber Drivers and Soccer Moms to Spy on You?

This Is Kim Dotcom's Grand Vision for Bitcoin's Future - YMB Podcast E137

MP3, Links, and More: http://ymb.tc/e137

This is episode 137 of You, Me, and BTC – your liberty and Bitcoin podcast!

Kim Dotcom has some serious plans for the futures of file sharing and Bitcoin. His three main projects right now are (supposedly) Megaupload 2.0, Bitcache, and MegaNet. The Internet celebrity certainly has a reputation for making wild claims that never come to fruition, but there is still a chance that these projects will revolutionize our digital lives. Dotcom claims he can create a decentralized internet and solve Bitcoin’s scaling problem, all in one go.

Today’s show is all about the speculation regarding these plans. We’ll investigate the Tweets that started everything and do our best to guess what Dotcom might be working on. Some say it may have to do with Demon Saw, which seems quite similar to MaidSafe. But the truth is, no one knows for sure.

Tune in for a fun time with plenty of digital speculation! Your hosts are Daniel Brown and Tim Baker. Enjoy!

Leave a comment and tell us what you think Kim Dotcom has planned for Bitcoin!
