How to Create Bingeworthy Content with Tracy Hazzard

The Recognized Authority

As consumers, we love to binge on content. Netflix discovered this a few years ago and started releasing entire seasons of TV shows in one go.  Podcasters know this because we get messages from listeners saying things like "Hey, I found your show at the weekend and just listened to 35 episodes". (It's astonishing, but it really does happen!)  YouTube creators know all about it, and try to make it so that it's not just one video, but their entire channel that is bingeworthy." In this episode, Tracy Hazzard and Alastair McDermott discuss what makes some content bingeworthy and other content NOT, why some creators' approach is far more effective, and why podcasts are particularly bingeable. They also discuss why blogging is still hugely valuable, the connection between deep expertise, curiosity, and curation, and how to use curation to help your audience find the content relevant for them. “When somebody is a deep expert, they curate really well within their area, they're choosing guests and topics really well, the way they ask their questions narrows in on the most valuable takeaways. That's their binge factor.” -- Tracy Hazzard on The Recognized Authority podcast “If we show care for others and we're putting our audience first, we're putting what's in your best interest first. If I do that, then I build trust faster than me saying "I'm an expert, I'm an authority". I don't have to say that, if I'm out there putting out things that are useful to you.” -- Tracy Hazzard on The Recognized Authority podcast 👑 Learn more about the Authority Labs mastermind group programme: https://therecognizedauthority.com/group 👑 🗒️ Show Notes 🗒️ Access all the links mentioned in this episode in the show notes here:  👉👉 https://therecognizedauthority.com/create-bingeworthy-content/ 👈👈 ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- ✉️ Subscribe to the email list at TheRecognizedAuthority.com 🎙️ Record a question or voice message for the show at TheRecognizedAuthority.com/question ⭐ Like what you heard? Business Infrastructure - Curing Back Office Blues

With a background in writing and product design, Tracy Hazzard has a history of being an early adopter of technology. She had the foresight to start her first podcast in 2015 as a means of testing the 3D printing market. And it’s a good thing she did because the lessons she and her husband/business partner learned eventually led to their co-creation of Brandcasters, Inc. – the largest podcast post-production company in the world!  * Podetize is their flagship product where Marketing-as-a-Service (MaaS) meets Software-as-a-Service. They currently have over 600 podcasts as clients and with so many moving parts, having a streamlined way to integrate their operational workflows with their accounting and CRM applications is paramount. That’s where ClickUp comes in. * In this episode, Tracy explains how they use ClickUp, a cloud-based project management technology that has revolutionized the way they manage and track critical tasks allocated amongst a team of 90+ people spread across the globe. She also describes how they’ve assembled a dream team of in-house technologists to integrate ClickUp with other technologies for a truly all-in-one workplace solution. * Discover the processes and business infrastructure that supports Podetize and learn how you can retrofit ClickUp to automate your small business’ back-office operations! * 🔗 Links to Resources Tracy recommends: https://businessinfrastructure.tv/2021/10/10/170-tracy-hazzard-explains-how-podetize-uses-clickup-to-scale-up-their-operations 🎧 Like What You Heard?
