The topic of the hour is The Weeping Time, a slave sale which happened in Savannah, GA on March 2nd and 3rd, 1859. It is recorded as the largest sale of enslaved persons in U.S. history. Tune in this Thursday on 107.5 FM or WRUU.org as we prepare to celebrate, commemorate and memorialize together. We will celebrate, commemorate, and memorialize these 429 enslaved persons during "The Weeping Time Weekend" on Friday, March 6, Saturday, March 7, and Sunday, March 8, 2020. Pamela Howard-Oglesby was inspired by God to recognize pioneering African-American women. She collaborated with her long-time friend, Brenda L. Roberts, to conduct intensive research in order to bring Savannah's Black "First Ladies" to press. Both women are native Savannahians working to improve their communities. OCEANS, Organization to Commemorate Enslaved African American Nationals, Inc.; Ivory Bay CDC; West Savannah Residents; Journey by Faith, Inc.; Georgia Historical Society; Otis J. Brock III Elementary School; Solomon Temple C.O.G.I.C.; Overcoming by Faith Church Ministries; Gullah Geechee Cultural Heritage Corridor; WCLK Clark-Atlanta University; Yahshua University Ministries and BHBP News; Sistagraphy; Lower Altamaha Historical Society; McIntosh County Historical Society; St. Simons African-American Heritage Coalition; Brunswick, GA African-American Cultural Center; and Winsward of Georgia, among others, invite you to a commemoration in honor of the 429 people sold at “The Weeping Time” slave sale, which happened in Savannah, Georgia on March 2nd and 3rd, 1859. It is on record as the largest sale of enslaved persons in U.S. history. The general public is cordially invited to participate in all these celebrations. It’s deep, it’s old and it’s ancient.   -Love the Divine and give that love to all is the bottom line in all religions. - Learn how to bring in the pink light of love and send it out into the world. -Love is the essence of the Divine. -The key is to have a personal relationship with the Divine. When you put your heart and mind on the Divine the Divine fills you up. -Ego is God spelled backwards. Are you in ego or love and connection? It’s a choice. -Affirmations are a good method to trust and spiritual growth. It’s a statement of ultimate truth, an inner conviction, connection and knowing that Divine romance is possible. You are confirming truth at its deepest level. -Abundant Mindset means I know that I am being taken care of for my highest good.
