Le dimanche 11 février 1990, après 27 ans d’incarcération, le plus célèbre des prisonniers politiques de la planète, Nelson Mandela, sort de la prison Victor Verster, à l’est de Cape Town, en Afrique du Sud, au bras de sa femme Winnie et sous le regard du monde entier. L’homme, leader de l’ANC, qui avec clame et persévérance incarne la résistance contre l’injustice et l’odieux d’un régime ségrégationniste avait été mis derrière les barreaux pour avoir osé dénoncer l’apartheid. Le dénouement de son combat est lu ici par l’illustrateur Claude Robinson.
