It’s Episode 49 and we have a special guest today!

Helen Golematis Taylor

She’s a CrossFit L-1 coach. She also competes in the sport of CrossFit.

As a CrossFit Masters Athlete she has qualified to participate in the 2019 CrossFit Age Group Online Qualifier (AGOQ). This is not an easy accomplishment. The workouts are not only brutal, they are also technically difficult. To get the chance to compete at this level you have to be in the top 200 out of thousands of participants.

Helen is in that top 200.

She ranks 64th out of 5,877 women in the world in her age group and she is ranked as 39th out of 4,030 in the United States.

She’s also a Certified Personal Trainer and Competitive Cyclist. She’s run over 6 full marathons including the NYC Marathon and she’s a 4th Degree Black Belt Master in Taekwando. She fits all of that in while being a Mother and Wife.

She’s 100% Greek and only 51 years young.

What will you do when you’re 51?

What we chatted about:

  • When and why she began this journey in Crossfit (You’ll want to hear this!)
  • How she prevents and comes back from injury
  • What role does diet play in her programming
  • How can women can go into Menopause without hormonal mayhem
  • What it means to Age Less
  • How exercise and diet affect our sexual health (male and female)
  • What you can do to start a healthy relationship with diet and fitness
  • And how she has the best hair in Crossfit
