In this episode, Jon and Joe have a conversation with former Lake Zurich head football coach Luke Mertens.  Earlier this month, Luke resigned as football coach and English teacher at Lake Zurich. In a very candid conversation, Luke talks about how his life has changed since he left coaching, why he came to the decision he did to leave his coaching and teaching job at Lake Zurich, how the coaching profession has changed since he got his start at Lakes in 2005, what advice he would have for young coaches entering the profession and changes he would make to increase participation numbers in the sport of football (1:30).  In our final segment, Jon and Joe reveal what events they will be covering this week and athletes they are looking forward to seeing (43:00).  It’s another great episode of Lake County Sports Talk.
