Today we take a deep delve into this whole postpartum thing. We all pay special attention to the giving birth of a child, but we don’t often take the time to think about what the new mother needs and is dealing with in those early months (even years) of their babies life. Not only is a baby born, but a mother is born. We in the west have moved away from traditional ancient wisdom that holds the postpartum months as sacred. A time for the mother to heal, replenish and bond with their new bundle of joy. Hadas is among the few amazing humans helping us find our way back to certain practices our ancestors would have just thought was common sense! The importance of nourishing, warm organic food, and how the new mother needs to be cared for and heard. We talk about how the course came to be, and where Hadas draws her knowledge from. We discuss the importance of sacred space and how to set boundaries in a way that is loving, yet give you the space you need. We also discuss the importance of working out some non-negotiable, self-care practices before baby arrives and discussing this with your partner. We also talk about the difference between the holistic and reductionist views on health and well-being.
