Neil Young - Trans

In the early 80's, for the first time in his career, Neil Young signed with a new record label. Geffen Records gave him a sizable advance and creative control. But after David Geffen heard the record, he tried to sue Young for making "uncharacteristic music". Yes, it was different. But Young has his reasons. This is the story of Neil Young's Trans, from 1982.

Long May You Young: 2 Dudes Takeover - Stephen King / Neil Young Connections

We had to postpone our normal format this week due to vacations, weddings and anniversaries all falling in the same three week period. But instead of not doing anything, we're letting the two dudes take over an episode! Luke and John (Friend of Nails) are obsessed with Stephen King. Like a disturbing amount. In this ep, they discuss the theory that perhaps Neil Young and Stephen King are actually the same person. They get into the similarities between Jordy from Creepshow and Lionel from Human Highway. John talks about movies that still scare him and Luke talks about having to leave the theater no less than three times during a certain horror movie.

If you like Stephen King and Neil Young, this episode was made for you! If you don't, sorry, and see you next week for Hawks and Doves!
