PWTorch Dailycast - The Deep...Dive with Rich Fann: Movie Review with Sean Radican – Kingdom (2019) and Awake (2019), what worked & didn't

PWTorch Dailycast

This week, Sean Radican of the “Radican Worldwide” VIP podcast returns to do a Deep Dive into the movies with host Rich Fann. Rich and Sean talk about the all-action “Kingdom,” which was directed by Shinsuke Sato – a veteran of anime and live adaptations – and how his experience lead to a great film. The film focuses on the unity of the Seven Kingdoms in China and the anime-fashioned method of storytelling was a great flourish. If you’ve played Dynasty Warriors, you’ll want to watch this. The pair also review the suspense film “Awake,” directed by Alexandr Chernyaev, a whodunit that features memory loss and murder. It’s the first movie in English by the director, which shows (both positively and negatively) during the film, particularly in terms of how certain plot-points are “yadda yadda’d”!

PWTorch Dailycast - The Deep...Dive with Rich Fann - Sean Radican joins to talk AEW Roster and spotlight Joey Janela, Darby Allin, more

PWTorch Dailycast

This week, Sean Radican joins Rich to talk two singles and one tag team in AEW leading into the Fyter Fest show - in particular, Joey Janela, Darby Allin and The Team of Private Party (Marq Quen & Isiah Kassidy). Whether it's Janela's ability to give platform to himself or other wrestlers, Allin's Sabu-like mindset, or the Private Party's ingenuity and youth, this group is a good mix of experienced wrestlers and those new to the scene. Sean and Rich talk the strengths and weaknesses of the four, where they see them as television starts for AEW, and what the future can hold for them and potential opponents down the road. The pair finish talking about some of the ripple effects of a strong singles and tag division.

PWTorch Dailycast - The Deep...Dive with Rich Fann - Deep Dive...to the Movies with Sean Radican, talking Unity of Heroes and Triple Threat

PWTorch Dailycast

This week, Sean Radican, the host of Radican Worldwide, joins to talk about two movies we watched - The Unity of Heroes and Triple Threat. Both movies are action-packed, with one being directed by a former stuntman that also directed Stone Cold Steve Austin in The Package. The gents chat about the movies themselves, what they liked, what they didn't, and how some of the same beats in a wrestling match need to be followed in action/martial arts films (e.g. balance of humor and seriousness, what is the line in terms of plot vs. "cool"), and on-site correspondent Trey "assists" with the show close.

PWTorch Dailycast - The Deep...Dive with Rich Fann - Sean Radican joins to talk "strange bedfellows" in wrestling

PWTorch Dailycast

This week is a counter to last week's romanticized Valentine's - this is "loving the one you're with," and in wrestling, that gets weird! Radican WORLDWIDE's Sean Radican joins to discuss Undertaker at Starrcast, Undertaker and Social Media, AEW unifying Mexico, Jimmy Uso and the WWE Catch 22, and a look at one of Rich's favorite times in Japanese Wrestling - the weird Pro Wrestle Love Mutoh booked All Japan intermingling with New Japan Pro Wrestling! Enjoy!
