The #1 Tech Tool You're Not Using - Yet (ft. Michael Litt, Vidyard)

Let’s face it: it’s not hard to list companies that have been big losers in 2020, right? And yet, there have been some bright spots. Zoom has been one of the darlings of 2020, with its live video platform taking off in the early days of the pandemic. And yet, often live video is not the right solution for you at a given moment - just like sometimes it’s better to text than to make a phone call.

Michael Litt is the Co-Founder and CEO of Vidyard, which helps with asynchronous video communication (as opposed to requiring you to be available on video in real-time like Zoom). Jeremy spoke to Michael on a wide range of topics, from the value of asynchronous video to growing during a pandemic to the downside of adding yet another tech tool to our arsenals.

As always, we welcome your feedback. Please make sure to subscribe, rate, and review on Apple Podcasts, Spotify, Stitcher, and Google Play.

In times recent, we've focused on strategies that adapt to the challenges and opportunities in a CO-VID affected world. But, instead of focusing on what's happening now, in the short-term, how is this going to affect our video efforts in the long-term?

Certainly, it changes our communication. It probably changes our production needs as well. But, today, we focus on how it affects our video technology.

In this episode, I'm very excited to be joined by one of the leading voices in video technology, Co-founder and CEO of Vidyard, Michael Litt.

Together, we discuss what organizations will begin asking from their video technology providers, what they should be requesting, and how 1:1 video is changing the sales landscape permanently.

Reversing Freemium with Michael Litt

Play
Read more

Coming to you live from Dublin where we just wrapped the fourth SaaStock flagship conference, this week's episode is a live interview we recorded with Michael Litt, Co-founder and CEO of Vidyard. This interview was part of the  Podcast stage, where we hosted a plethora of podcasters who interviewed our speakers.

Less than a month ago, Michael did something out of the ordinary. While many entrepreneurs start with a Free software offering, then scale into launching Pro and Enterprise solutions, he did the opposite. What happens when you flip the traditional freemium model on its head? What challenges did his company face in scaling this way? How did the team react? How did the market respond? Alex digs into all of these and more.

When Michael is not bringing leading video-based technologies to market, he serves as a general partner of Garage Capital, a seed-stage fund focused on Super-Cluster companies looking to expand their networks into Silicon Valley.

Hope you enjoy this live show with him. We have three more live episodes coming in the next few weeks.
