Jerome Myers – Discovering Your True Self: How To Allow Yourself to Start Living Your Dream (AoL 198)
The Angles of Lattitude Podcast: Learn from the Successes of the Creatively Self Employed
One of the things I've learned in the last 10 years (and even more so since the start of the pandemic) is many of us, including myself at times, ask if we're worthy enough to level up and start living our dream. Scratch that - OUR DREAMS.See, here's the thing. Society has told us what's important and that's the magic dollar bill. How you get it is secondary to actually getting it. Because so many people focus on the end destination (which, hint... there is no end destination), it really doesn't matter how you get the result. However, what I've learned along the way is that if you can tap into your true self and do work that has meaning to you and/or you finding fascinating, then the sky's the limit. That was true for this session's guest, Jerome Myers. As he tells it in this chat, while he was in college he realized that there are easier ways to earn income than trading time for money. In particular, he learned that multi-family housing can be particularly lucrative.More so, he realized that when he "figured it out" that others need to know how to get free from the Matrix and live their dreams as well.Listen in as he shares with us some of his thoughts on steps to finding our true selves and how we can make sure we don't live a nightmare of constantly trying to do it with little luck.Enjoy!SPECIFICALLY, YOU’LL FIND OUT MORE ABOUT:How was Jerome given the "permission" to seek something other than a traditional day job? 14:14Where did Jerome get the idea that he even wanted to get into real estate investing? 16:34What makes the red pill easy to swallow for some people, while other people get choked? 21:21Are there a couple of signs someone can look for when it comes to pursuing their dream full time? 23:50What are three things that Jerome suggests that a dreamcatcher can do to make sure their dream doesn't become a nightmare? 26:57Why does Jerome have multiple podcasts as opposed to bringing in a video element? 28:33Does Jerome have any success stories of where he's been able to help others take the red pill? 34:20When it comes to the Hero's journey, does Jerome feel like society is preventing people from living their own? 42:21What are a handful of concepts people should consider before they leave a successful 9 to 5 career to go do their own thing? 44:39How does someone make their job making revenue streams for their family? 50:11What future dream does Jerome want to pursue himself? 53:26Who were Jerome's top 3 influencers who helped him get to where he's at today? 55:01What's the best advice he's ever received? 56:46Is there something he's become good at saying no to? 57:20What's the piece of advice he likes to give others? 57:50What does it mean to live a life of abundance? 58:16ITEMS and PEOPLE MENTIONED IN THIS EPISODE:Jerome Online: Website, Facebook, LinkedIn, Instagram, YouTubeCohost: Andy DixPowered By: Uncover Your Personal Mission12 Stages of the Hero’s JourneyRight click here and save-as to download this episode to your computer.SHOW NOTE EXTRAS:Jerome on Forgiveness:Being You with James Bryant:Your Network is Your Net Worth with nicole StohlerJerome is interviewed by Ryan Hamrick on the RPOA Real Estate Investor PodcastThanks for Listening! Thanks so much for joining us again this week. #28 Catch Your Dreams Not Chase Them with Jerome Myers
The Travelling Optimist Podcast with Steve Ody
Hey everyone, welcome to the podcast – the home of optimism, insight and uplifting stories. How’s everything going? I really hope you’ve had a great couple of weeks………….. soo……It’s that time again for another episode of the Travelling Optimist – so wherever you are, whatever you’re doing turn it up, settle down or ramp it up – it’s amazing to have you dialled in, I really appreciate it. Being unconsciously incompetent - you've stumbled along and before you know it you've achieved some great things - you don't know how you did it but you did - reflecting on what happened is part of the process and this is what my guest on this episode did.My guest today is Jerome Myers from Dreamcatchers and Myers Methods. Jerome is a property investor and coach and is a self confessed corporate America dropout. He was an experienced engineer and ran a successful and profitable division of a multi million dollar business on the east coast of the US. Things were going well, he was earning good money, but one day, despite running a profit he realised some major decisions were being made for him that didn’t sit right. He knew it was wrong and my take from the conversation is that everything happens for a reason. If Jerome’s bosses hadn’t acted in the way they did he wouldn’t be a successful property investor and in charge of his own destiny.Jerome is a guy who seized the day and took an opportunity to make a difference to his family and be a person who inspires others to change their life in beautiful ways.So this is me and Jerome Myers talking about learning to be flexible, being optimistic and always learning. But ultimately this podcast is all about an inspiring man who loves to unlock the potential of those around him with the keys to happiness and success so they can catch their dreams, not chase them! You can connect with Jerome here:Linked InWebsite You can listen to his podcast here - Dreamcatchers PodcastThanks so much for listening - I can't tell you how much myself and my guests appreciate it.Keep the optimism levels high!HugsSteve

CP32: Joint venture or syndications for multifamily real estate with Jerome Myers
The Cashflow Project
Join me and my co-host, Steve Fierros, as we chat with Jerome Myers about joint ventures versus syndications; which one is better? Jerome is the founder of Dream Catchers and the Myers Development Group. Over the past few years of continuously achieving success, he has built a multi-million dollar portfolio. His real estate education company, Myers Methods, helps investors learn how to own and operate apartments. He also hosts two podcasts, the Dream Catchers and Multifamily Missteps. Make Your Dream a Reality As children get older and become adults, they forget about their dreams. Most of them will settle for a job, working 40 hours a week, because it is a source of income even though they are unhappy. They become afraid to take risks because of other people’s opinions and the risk of failure. This is one of the reasons why a lot of adults are not satisfied with their lives. When you’re not living your life on a purpose, you’ll experience and will feel burnouts more often. Sadly, it is not uncommon that some of these jobs requiring 40 hours a week have low paying salaries. It is not too late to make your dream a reality. The best time to make it happen is now. It is okay to make mistakes and fail because, through those experiences, you’ll become more skilled and capable. When someone really wants something bad enough, that person will do everything it takes to achieve his goal. Stop Pretending and Start Caring Many people in our society have become so insensitive and callous. Others like to pretend to be someone they’re not and that everything is going well. They feel embarrassed to admit that something is not going right. Jerome said that if you ask for help and let people know that you’re struggling, they will care. It is unavoidable that others will not; however, you just have to find the right people that will. By doing this, you’re going to lift a huge burden on yourself and will make things easier or you. People need to stop pretending, start helping, and focus more on caring. Kindness and empathy go a long way. These days, we need these now more than ever. About Jerome Myers: 𝗜'𝗺 𝗮 𝗰𝗼𝗿𝗽𝗼𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗲 𝗔𝗺𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗰𝗮 𝗱𝗿𝗼𝗽𝗼𝘂𝘁 𝘄𝗵𝗼 𝗵𝗲𝗹𝗽𝘀 𝗼𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗿𝘀 𝗲𝘅𝗶𝘁 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗺𝗮𝘁𝗿𝗶𝘅. From the outside looking in, everything in my world was going to plan. My career was attached to a rocket. I was already making over 100 k, and I just finished my MBA at night. I'd married my college sweetheart a few years earlier, and our first daughter was happy and healthy. I had money in the bank, a huge house, my dream car, and the ability to travel out of the country regularly, but I was empty on the inside. I think most of us are like that. We are silently asking ourselves, is this all there is to life? Finally, I started asking my friends this same question and realized they were asking it too. I decided we have to fix this. After building a 20 MM division at a construction company and having to lay off my teammates two years in a row, I'd had enough and decided to become a full-time real estate entrepreneur. My approach to (YOU): In my approach to coaching, we use trust, openness, compassion, and direct communication to guide our clients on a range of professional and personal issues. By harnessing the power of counseling, consulting, and mentoring, we help them find their inspiration and use it as fuel to build the life they desire. Our process is simple; we gain clarity around the current situation, perform a gap assessment to see what resources are missing, then create a customized strategy that delivers RESULTS.
