PUBLIC SUPPORT DROPPING FOR RACIAL JUSTICE PROTESTS, POLL SUGGESTS Specialist on Race Relations //Helped launch a national initiative called Together We Can ROB CRAIN A new poll shows support for protests like those engulfing Louisville, Ky., following a grand jury decision in the Breonna Taylor case has fallen from a peak reached soon after the death of George Floyd in Minneapolis police custody in May. The survey by the Associated Press-NORC Center for Public Affairs Research finds 44% of Americans disapprove of protests in response to police violence against Black Americans, while 39% approve. In June, 54% approved of the protests. Why is support dropping for racial justice protests? Will protestors be able to keep the conversations and movements going? Why or why not?

An Interview with Rob Crain from "50 Summers" and The 'Front Office Features' Podcast

Big Screen Sports - The Sports Movie Podcast

"50 Summers" tells the story of fifty years of minor league baseball in Omaha, told through the lens of the Omaha Royals franchise. A few months back we talked to director Dan Napoli and producer Bill Hipsher about their experience making the film. Now that "50 Summers" is available to stream on Amazon Prime, it's a good time to circle back with some of the stars of the film, and that means talking to former Assistant GM of the Omaha Storm Chasers, Rob Crain. Rob joins to discuss his experience being interviewed, as well as his time in Omaha. He also lets us in on his career working in Minor League Baseball; how he manages to bring such energy to the job, qualities that someone wanting to work in MiLB needs to have, and what the best and worst on-field games are. Check out Rob's podcast, Front Office Features on Twitter @FOFeatures and wherever you get your podcasts. Tune into next Monday's episode of Big Screen Sports covering "Dodgeball" with guest Tim Miller (The Bulwark).  Learn more about your ad choices.
