Many thought that a serial killer was operating in Jennings and was responsible for these murders. But, as details began to emerge, it came to light that there were many connections between the victims and a number of persons of interest. Reports of corruption and malfeasance began to surface within the law enforcement of Jefferson Davis Parish. This has led many to speculate what involvement if any, the police played in the deaths of these 8 women. There remains a lot of unanswered questions in this series of murders. Jeff Davis is a top notch, fit-habit coach and on the show today he got super vulnerable. He shared his what life was like when he was younger, growing up with a tough home life and environment that subconsciously instilled negative habits into his identity, that he then carried for years and years into his adult life. Jeff spent a lot of time sabotaging himself because of these detrimental habits and behaviours until one day, staring himself in the mirror he decided to change who he was and shift that identity into a new version of himself. He competed, and made a radical change not just physically, but mentally, emotionally and spiritually. His story today and the powerful open, vulnerable conversation we had serves as a reminder that everyone has the capacity to change but it starts with us and our desire to commit to changing. From self sabotage and unhealthy habits to using his story, his lessons and his knowledge as a way to serve others in the world who may find themselves stuck where he once was. We dove deep into topics related to his journey, from what it means to look at selfishness differently in a way that supports your growth and those around you, to why you need to work on yourself before trying to work on fixing others. This one was truly something you won't want to miss. As always, if you love the episode, leave us a rating and review. PODCAST EP. 91: Rooster Road Trip Day 3 Recap with PF Volunteer Jeff Davis
On The Wing Podcast
Host Bob St. Pierre and Rooster Road Trip co-host Andrew Vavra are joined by Pheasants Forever biologist Tanner Bruse and PF chapter volunteer Jeff Davis to recap a very windy day afield. The crew spent the day primarily on federal Waterfowl Production Areas (WPAs) in southwest Minnesota’s “Buffalo Ridge” region where the wind on an average day is 17mph. Today’s sustained winds easily doubled that speed making for fast-flying and hard-to-hit roosters. Episode Highlights:• Davis, who works in the agriculture industry and volunteers as the chapter president in Lincoln County, estimates that more than 90% of the soybean crop has been harvested and likely 80% of the corn will be out by this Saturday for the second weekend of Minnesota’s pheasant hunting season. • Bruse and Davis talk about the connection between the farming and hunting cultures that exists across rural southwest Minnesota. • The crew also talks about the etiquette of going back to a public hunting spot that a friend has shared during a previous day’s hunt. • As is the Rooster Road Trip tradition, Andrew delivers today’s Instagram questions for a lighting round. It's a particularly exciting week for Diminishing Returns - not because of the films we're covering (definitely not). No, it's an exciting week because we're joined by the one and only Jeff Davis to discuss all things Teen Wolf, including its transition from a questionable Michael J. Fox vehicle into a sexy, teen-drama series on MTV.
