From Team Buyers Agent to Solo Top Producer w/ Jeff West

Massive Agent Podcast

Leaving a team to become a solo agent is not an easy decision. There are many pros and cons to consider. Here are some questions you should ask yourself: Are you losing transactions because you’re stuck as a buyer or listing agent? What do you want your business to look like in 5 years? Are you staying put because you’re comfortable and afraid of the unknown? How much have you paid in commission and fees over the last 2 years, and what value did you receive for those dollars? On this episode of the Massive Agent Podcast, host Dustin Brohm talks with top producing real estate agent Jeff West. Jeff went from a barista to becoming a long time buyer’s agent, and now a top producing Icon Agent with eXp Realty. He tells us the story of how he fearfully decided to take the leap after missing out on several listings to his team leader. Jeff advises us to make sure we’re receiving value for the dollars we are paying to our brokerage. His income nearly doubled when he made the switch. Maybe the final question we should ask ourselves is, “Are we more dedicated to our brokerage than we are to our income and to our individual growth?” Making the change isn’t hard when you’re really ready. At the end of the day, we’re still helping families and serving clients. Just build on what you already know, surround yourself with supportive people, and take action.Connect with Jeff WestInstagramFacebook***********************Sponsored by: Follow Up Boss, the CRM of choice for agents ready to scale quickly. Principles For Sales Leadership My Younger Self Needed with Jeff West

The Author Your Brand Show

Jeff West, an influencer and coach in sales management, converses about how salespeople or business aspirants can effectively and sustainably hit the target. He emphasizes the urgency of establishing chemistry that brings people in and makes them want to stay. According to West in business, you have to create a need and convince your clients that whatever you're selling is something they will be better off having.  Key Takeaways/Main Points:   In this episode we discussed…. 1. “The story, of course, revolves around a young salesman and a homeless man that kind of changes his total perspective.” (6:14) 2. "I use the branding of fusion points now about finding that emotional and logical connection that will keep you going. For me, that connection was my daughters.” (12:07) 3.  “You cannot expect a six-figure income if you're only going to put in minimum wage effort. You've got to be willing to go out and get good at your craft, learn the craft, and then apply that, because you know, knowledge is not really power. (16:32) 4. "Whatever you're selling, find something that you truly in your heart believe that your customer is better off by having that product or service on a day-to-day basis.” (16:58) 5. “You need to ask the right questions. You'll know your market and you'll know what's going on, but you need to ask the right questions and find out what those needs are and be genuinely focused on helping that person solve that issue with that company that you can put them with.” (17:35) 6.  “You've got to learn how to build a chemistry that brings people in and then makes them want to stay.” (22:51) 7. “You don't ever want to create a situation where someone thinks you're a pest or when you're trying to follow up with your prospects, but you want to build relationships.” (31:17) 8. “Never underestimate the value of following up and building that relationship.” (32:09) 9. “Good lead for me is going to be any company that has a sales team that needs sales and sales leadership training, or any small employer that is competing with the giants in their industry. Those are good leads for me.” (33:42) Jeff can help you build a sustainable and profitable business by teaching you how to attract and retain great people in a competitive hiring market, and by mentoring you in developing a great sales team. 45.2. Conversation with my Dad, Part Two with Jeff West

The Imperfect Pod

This is part two of my two part conversation with my dad. When I first started having these conversations about masculinity and manhood, I knew that I was most nervous to have this conversation with my dad. Why? I think that's the very question I've been on a journey to discover. Why is it so hard for young men to have serious conversations with their fathers? Isn't that the whole point? But throughout most of our lives, we find it easier to have these types of discussions with complete strangers. There's something easier about it. But as we all come to learn - growth comes in the uncomfortable. This is the one year anniversary of the show. 45 episodes in and I finally worked up the courage to ask my dad to be on the show. We talk about 4 different stages of his life. What he was like at my ageHis relationship with his dad, my grandpaHis approach to fatherhoodAnd our relationship as father and sonMy goal with this episode is to be able to encourage other sons and fathers to continue to build and develop their relationships and have these harder conversations. I've seen an impact on our relationship already (we recorded this 3 weeks before releasing) and I can't wait to continue to nurture that relationship.I hope you enjoy.
