She’s one of the most passionate, smart, and inspiring women you’ll ever meet. Through her social media platform called “Astroathens,” she advocates for science and the arts, and teaches astrophysics in a fun way that makes it enjoyable for everyone. Her background is in stellar and planetary formations, proto-planetary disks and exo-planetary systems, and in addition to bringing outer space down to earth, she’s also a social media influencer and an international model who’s traveled the world. She says, “If sharing my story might inspire just one person who may feel torn, stuck, or fearful to pursue a life of uncertainty or an unconditional career path, then I feel as though I’ve begun to make a difference in the future of innovative creators.”Links for you to explore!Athena's Website: astroathens.comIf you enjoy this podcast, please leave a short review on Apple Podcasts by clicking here.To sign up for the Moonbird email newsletter, click here!Follow Daniel and the Memories of a Moonbird Podcast:Twitter: https://twitter.com/moonbirdpodcast/Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/memoriesofamoonbird/Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/MemoriesofaMoonBird/YouTube: http://bit.ly/MoonbirdYouTubePinterest: https://www.pinterest.com/memoriesofamoonbird/#moonbird #podcast #podcasting #Entertainment #entertainer #EntertainmentIndustry #movies #tv #DanielScherl #memoriesofamoonbird #Astronomy #carlsagan #neildegrassetyson #cosmos #anndruyan #bonjovi #athena #athenabrensberger #astroathens #keeplearningSupport the show (https://www.patreon.com/moonbird)

Athena Brensberger advocates for space exploration through her platform Astroathens – a website, youtube channel, and various social media platforms. People can find DIY astrophysics demos, rocket launch coverage, and going behind the scenes at events around the world! She’s worked with Seeker, Futurism, ArianeGroup, and Dexter as a correspondent on all things astronomy and rocket science. With a background in astrophysics and fashion, Athena’s mission is to show that space is within all of us, no matter what industry you are in. Her research includes work on Proto-planetary disks and low mass stars. After giving her first talk on stage, she fell in love with presenting science rather than conducting it.

"Life sometimes gives you a path that you have to just go with and find the beauty in it. And this is how I found myself. I currently am a science communicator and an international model. I spent years studying astrophysics because it begins to define us and who we are in our place in the universe. But I learned that communicating science and space to people around the world is what my calling was. I am a science host on YouTube channels like Astroathens, which I created and Seeker from the Discover Channel and the TMRO show. Explaining science through television is so much fun and you get to experiment with all the fun ways one can translate very complicated science topics and concepts to the rest of the world that may not know too much about science! When I was a researcher in Astrophysics my focus was on Proto-planetary disks (PROPLYDS) and low mass stars formations."- Athena Brensberger
