Episode 89 of the Everyman Movie Review!
This episode is semi-by request. A friend of the shown asked if I had seen Vivarium yet and asked my thoughts (since there wasn't an episode out. Instead of waxing poetic there, I bumped up my review and now everyone can hear me... wax poetic. I love weird, quirky movies and boy does Vivarium fit the bill. Throw in Imogen Poots and Jesse Eisenberg - I'm game. How could Vivarium miss?!
Was I disappointed? Check out the episode to find out!

The Everyman Movie Review is a different kind of movie commentary - it's not about the art of movie-making, but rather about the enjoyment and entertainment of the film itself. It's not about me or my opinion, it's about the movie - does it deliver on what it promises?

CCFP Presents, in Partnership with IFC Films and Mean Streets Management, a discussion with actor Jesse Eisenberg and director Jonathan Jakubowicz about their brand new film, Resistance.
The film is the story of Marcel Marceau, then an aspiring Jewish actor who joined the French Resistance to save the lives of thousands of children orphaned at the hands of the Nazis.
If you have not yet seen the film, you can stream it on-demand or find links here: https://www.resistance.movie/watch-at-home/
Please excuse the sound on the intro, it gets better once the interview starts, as it was conducted live via Zoom. Also, please leave a 5 star rating and a review if you enjoy the podcast, and for more information on Creative Community For Peace, please visit:
Actor Jesse Eisenberg and writer/director Jonathan Jakubowicz joined AJFF online in April to discuss their new biographical drama Resistance with historian Catherine Lewis. Please enjoy the audio of this webinar as Eisenberg and Jakubowicz go behind the scenes of the film, which is based on the true story of legendary mime Marcel Marceau and his efforts to save Holocaust orphans with the help of the French Resistance. AJFF In Conversation webinars are generously supported by the Helen Marie Stern Fund.
My name is Eoghan Walsh from Brussels Beer City, and you’re listening to episode 11 of Cabin Fever - less a podcast than a group therapy session for writers, brewers, and friends who like to enjoy a beer together but, well, can’t.
I was delighted to be joined remotely in Brussels by:
Katie Mather (@Shinybiscuit), beer writer at Pellicle, Ferment and others, and author of the weekly The Gulp newsletter
Claire Bullen (@ClaireMBullen), editor of Good Beer Hunting and co-author of The Beer Lover’s Table
And Lily Waite (@LilyWaite_), writer, artist, ceramicist and much more besides, including author of this recent piece for Good Beer Hunting - which we discussed on the show
Over the course of a couple of beers from Donzoko, Stockholm Brewing Co., and Brasserie Cantillon, we talked about the chaffing nature of lockdown restrictions, the yearning to get back behind the potter’s wheel, and why tuna should get back in the sea.

Actor, author, and playwright Jesse Eisenberg feels desperate to be Conan O’Brien’s friend.
Jesse and Conan sit down to discuss the better ways of humbling oneself, being driven by anthropological curiosity, avoiding online negativity, and the odd homogeneity of Los Angeles. Later, Conan attempts to inspire a pregnant listener as he and his team Review the Reviewers.
