#251 Jason Flom on Tim Cole

Wrongful Conviction

In the fall of 1984 and spring of '85, a serial rapist struck at least 4 times with eerily similar details. Meanwhile, a new student, Tim Cole, arrived on campus for the spring semester after the rapes had already began. On March 24th, 1985, a 20 year old student reported what appeared to be the 5th attack. Investigators collected a rape kit, and the victim helped them put together a composite sketch. From a passing glance, a plainclothes detective decided that Tim resembled the composite sketch. Using a very suggestive photo array, investigators engineered the misidentification of Tim Cole, and he was soon convicted. Despite numerous confessions from another man whose DNA ended up matching the material in the rape kit, Tim sat in prison where he passed away in 1999.To learn more and get involved, visit:https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=R_QbivKABXkhttps://innocencetexas.org/https://innocenceproject.org/cases/timothy-cole/https://lavaforgood.com/with-jason-flom/Wrongful Conviction is a production of Lava for Good Podcasts in association with Signal Co No1.

劉軒的How to人生學

Transformational Leadership Versus Transactional Leadership with Author Tim Cole

Results Leader.FM

Working at the same company for decades teaches you lots of things over the years. Tim Cole worked for the same pharmaceutical company for 38 years. At first, he was told he’d never make it as a salesman. But then, Tim immersed himself with the tools of success and became one of the sales department’s leaders. Now the author and founder of The Compass Alliance, he teaches senior executives the keys to navigating their careers as better leaders. In this episode, author, speaker, and founder Tim Cole reveals the difference between transformational leadership and transactional leadership. Show highlights include: The "Warren Buffett Investment" method that improves your life and makes you wealthier (4:46) Why simply applying what you learn catapults you the top of your organization (even if everyone else learns the same) (6:06) How the pandemic has buried skilled people in work by adding 2.5 of extra work (7:24) Why focusing on the "Why" and "Who" and not the "What" and "How" transforms lazy employees into loyal teammates (13:35) If you found a golden nugget of wisdom in this episode, share it on social media with the hashtag #ResultsLeaderFM to help spread the word. Household of Stephanas // Tim Cole [One Hit Wonders]

The Journey Church Podcast

One Hit Wonders Series | Week 3 [Tim Cole] Household of Stephanas1 Corinthians 16:15-16 - You know that the household of Stephanas were the first converts in Achaia, and they have devoted themselves to the service of the Lord’s people. I urge you, brothers and sisters, to submit to such people and to everyone who joins in the work and labors at it. Tasso: to strategically arrange in a particular order, as in the military; regimented. Joshua 24:14-16 - “Now fear the Lord and serve him with all faithfulness. Throw away the gods your ancestors worshiped beyond the Euphrates River and in Egypt, and serve the Lord. But if serving the Lord seems undesirable to you, then choose for yourselves this day whom you will serve, whether the gods your ancestors served beyond the Euphrates, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land you are living. But as for me and my household, we will serve the Lord.” Then the people answered, “Far be it from us to forsake the Lord to serve other gods! Judges 2:7 - The people served the Lord throughout the lifetime of Joshua and of the elders who outlived him and who had seen all the great things the Lord had done for Israel. Judges 2:10 - After that whole generation had been gathered to their ancestors, another generation grew up who knew neither the Lord nor what he had done for Israel. 1 Kings 11:4 - As Solomon grew old, his wives turned his heart after other gods, and his heart was not fully devoted to the Lord his God, as the heart of David his father had been. 1 Kings 12:8 - But Rehoboam rejected the advice the elders gave him and consulted the young men who had grown up with him and were serving him. 2 Corinthians 8:1-4 - And now, brothers and sisters, we want you to know about the grace that God has given the Macedonian churches. In the midst of a very severe trial, their overflowing joy and their extreme poverty welled up in rich generosity. For I testify that they gave as much as they were able, and even beyond their ability. Entirely on their own, they urgently pleaded with us for the privilege of sharing in this service to the Lord’s people.
