Embracing Fear and Living Life to the Fullest with Sal Frisella
The Dad Edge Podcast (formerly The Good Dad Project Podcast)
Sal Frisella is a husband, father of three children, and the President of 1st Phorm Supplements, which was founded by his brother Andy. He was a Minor League Baseball player who was drafted by the St. Louis Cardinals and played for the Single A New Jersey Cardinals. Sal went from baseball player to selling copiers to medical sales where he worked for Johnson and Johnson as a successful sales agent. After these phases of his life, Sal realized that these jobs were not meant for him. Sal knew that he had to take a chance on himself and live the best possible life ever. Becoming the President of 1stPhorm gave him the best life that he could want. However, Sal's goals weren't always clear. The fear of rejection and fear of the word "no" often held him back during his younger years. Yet, fear didn't stop him from trying. Sal’s success in his life can attest to this because even through doubt and others negative opinions, he was able to push through and achieve the life he wanted. Sometimes, we are so afraid of rejection that we live with the regret of not trying at all. Take advantage of every single day and live as if it were your last, or you’ll live with regret. The greatest strikeout of life is never stepping up to the plate. What are you going to say about you on your deathbed? Sal Frisella is the President of 1st Phorm. In this episode, we get deep into topics of leadership, parenting, life transitions, and knowing when to leave a “comfortable” situation to pursue your passion, regardless of the uncertainty.
In EP118 I sat down with Sal Frisella. He is hands down one of the most inspiring and humble men I had the honour of speaking to. As the President of 1st Phorm he is leads by example and as a result has created an aura of honesty, integrity and authenticity that bleeds through every area of the company.ps - this episode was originally recorded in 2019. My own personal journey led to me pause the release of anymore episodes as I felt the calling to dive deeper into self reflection.
Episode 8 - Sal Frisella | Hard Work & Culture are King at 1st Phorm
The Intro with MDV
Sal Frisella is President of 1st Phorm, a former minor league baseball player, and one of the hardest working, most inspiring guys you'll ever meet. Along with his brother, Andy, and the amazing team at 1st Phorm, Sal is on a mission to take his company and his people to the top. Hard work and culture are absolutely king at 1st Phorm...not matter if you're sweeping the floors (which Sal still does with his team) or making the big decisions (which Sal also does with his team). I loved chatting with Sal and learning how to develop an absolutely bulletproof culture defined by grit, hard work, and teamwork. #28 Sal Frisella from 1st Phorm on Leadership, Culture and Mindset
The Business and Leadership Podcast
To others, Sal is the President of 1st Phorm, a dad, a husband, a friend, a leader, and a philanthropist. But he describes himself as a "regular dude who likes beer, working out and helping people". Sal has helped his brother (Andy Frisella) build one of the largest, but most importantly, most reputable brands in the fitness industry as well as the sports supplement industry - 1st Phorm. I've been wanting to do this interview since I started my company (Superfit Foods) and to be honest, we wouldn't be the brand we are without 1st Phorm paving the way.Check this episode out and as always:- leave a review- subscribe- share with a friend!
