ABOUT WHITNEY SEWELL:Whitney is the Founder of Life Bridge Capital LLC. His passion is helping investors secure financial security via the exceptional opportunities that multifamily syndication offers. He is also the host of The Real Estate Syndication Show, where he has now interviewed over 850 experts providing cutting-edge tools and strategies of the syndication business. Whitney and his wife Chelsea are on a mission to help other families through the process of adoption. They have personally endured the financial burdens that the process puts on families and have committed 50% of their profits to this goal. Whitney and Chelsea have three children by adoption. THIS TOPIC IN A NUTSHELL:[02:00] The Why of the business[03:00] How Life Bridge Capital started with the mission on adoption [05:38] Transition from a military background to real estate[09:06] Exposure to Commercial Real estate[09:59] His journey towards Syndication[11:55] Lessons learned from deals and hiring experts to fill in the gap[13:04] Reaching out to the right mentors to help you[14:43] Investing in yourself with the knowledge you need[17:06] Advice to first-time investors on getting started[18:30] On giving up horse training business and selling the farm[20:20] Level of commitment that you need to have[21:30] Launching a daily podcast[22:40] Building a team and system for the daily podcast [24:39] Process that you can automate in the business [29:02] Automation of Podcast process [35:37] Advice to his 25-year-old self[36:33] First Entrepreneurial Endeavor[37:51] His formal and Informal training shaped his journey[38:39] The Deal that got away[42:20] How to reach out to WhitneyKEY QUOTES:[06:10] One thing though that military has taught me is the “Never give up” mentality. When you’re at war it’s not an option to give up. I mean people’s lives are counting on you performing. So, that has helped me in business as well as many areas [19:30] Having that level of commitment to focus on syndication business allowed us to get to where we are at now. It gave us a passion for that, faith for it, and stamina because It was such a sacrifice to commit to the daily podcast, start doing deals, working with investors, doing the adoption process, all those things at the same time, it took just massive levels of commitment. So, I would ask our listeners like are you committed to this? Because it’s not going to be easy.[31:28] Having the system automated for the podcast guest is very crucial. I don’t have time to go back and forth with the guests to 3 or 4 times about their bio, or the questions that they want me to ask on the show and things like that. So, it has to be very automated and it helps us a lot.[35:40] My advice to my younger self is to “think bigger”. Think about where you are going. Back then, I don’t have much focus and guidance on where I want to go. I did not have the vision on building a business and it’s difficult to break free from the mindset of just having a “stable job”. You have to believe that you can accomplish bigger things.Summary of Business:Life Bridge Capital is a leading real estate syndication company. The Self Storage Podcast
Hey Gang!⠀Coming back to you with another wonderful guest appearance on The Real Estate Syndication Show with host Whitney Sewell.⠀⠀⠀On this second guest appearance, we discuss learning the hard way by making some hiring mistakes and how they can be remedied by applying lessons from the book Traction by Gino Wickman. I shed light on a time when I had to let 40% of my team go by putting in place principles from the book, and the subsequent pivots they made from there. One of the overarching pieces in the recruitment process is the importance of getting clear on core values. Whitney and I discuss this, and how having this facet rock solid has lead to a stable hiring process. While all of this is important, giving back is always at the top of my core values and those of my team, we get into this as well. So be sure to tune in today!I would like thank, Whitney and his team again for having me on the show!⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀For more episodes from Life Bridge Capital with host Whitney Sewell please visit:https://lifebridgecapital.com/podcast/Helping People Become Financially Independent Without The Hassles of Tenants, Toilets, and Trash with Self Storage Investing!Website: https://www.selfstorageinvesting.com/Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/selfstorageinvestingTwitter: https://twitter.com/SelfStorageGuyLinkedIn: https://www.linkedin.com/in/scottameyers/Youtube: https://www.youtube.com/user/SelfStorageInvestingInstagram: https://www.instagram.com/self_storage_investing/
