Dr. Greg Kelly - Circadian Strategies for Longevity and Fat Loss
Primal Blueprint Podcast
Host Brad Kearns welcomes Dr. Greg Kelly, a naturopathic doctor, and expert in nutrition and anti-aging. Dr. Greg is the founder of Neurohacker Collective. In this episode, you'll learn about some cutting-edge longevity research to target senescent cells and help repair them before they become cancerous. Supplements like the popular anti-inflammatory quercetin and mushroom extracts have been proven effective, as has daily time-restricted feeding and occasional longer fasting periods. Dr. Kelly also discusses how important circadian rhythm is to health and longevity, and some ideas for how to optimize the various hormonal and metabolic functions that are tied to circadian rhythm. Hint: Don't eat after 10 pm, because your stomach starts to produce high levels of acid to detoxify what is supposed to be an empty stomach. Regarding weight loss, Dr. Kelly provides a memorable insight about crash dieting, where the body reacts with a "body fat overshoot" aka "diet-induced lipolysis" to gain weight back quickly and often worse than where you started. Dr. Greg offers some great practical tips to spur fat loss the right way, such as increased daily movement and better sleep. Another cool tip is to track morning and evening body temperature, as Dr. Kelly notes that more variation in daily temperature is a sign of youthful functional age. EP058 - I Think Greg Kelly of Newsmax is Full of Crap - Kenya Weed Story
The ChicagoTonyV Show
Greg Kelly of Newsmax posted a tweet about a "bender" he went on "back in the day" involving smoking weed in in Kentucky and waking up four days later in Nairobi, Kenya. I personally think the story is a load of horse shit. Full disclosure - I'm not a pot smoker. I have no horse in the race. It just seems to me that Greg Kelly's story stinks to high heavens. We talked all about drug culture, pot smoking, booze and partying gone wrong. Enjoy!

It’s not full of a bunch of caffeine and stimulants but it includes many different adaptogens and ingredients that maintain sustained concentration for hours. I don’t use any other nootropics but I do sometimes take Qualia Mind if I want to get something important done or I have a cognitively more demanding task. I’ve even taken it before working out and there’s a noticeable difference in my ability to push off fatigue and just stay in the right zone for the entire workout. KAATSU bands incorporate blood flow moderation training that tricks the body into thinking it lifts much heavier weights than it actually is. When traditional weight lifting requires you to reach 70-80% of your 1 repetition maximum to stimulate muscle hypertrophy, then KAATSU achieves that effect only at 20-30%. So, it’s perfect for treating injuries or used when you don’t have access to heavyweights. Research about KAATSU bands also shows it lowers blood pressure, speeds up recovery from injuries, releases stem cells, builds muscle, burns fat and prevents age-related muscle loss. PLUS, you can travel with them easily and still get a good workout on the road. If you want to try out the KAATSU Cycle bands, then use the code SIIM for a 10% Discount at kaatsu-global.com!
