President and CEO of Tennis Channel, KEN SOLOMON discusses his illustrious TV career, the meteoric rise of TC and more.

From a college internship at Paramount Studios in the 1980s, Ken Solomon quickly started selling syndication to tertiary US markets. From there, among other things, he helped launched FX and build Fox into a TV powerhouse. He was there at the beginning of Dreamworks and became The President of Universal TV.

Since 2006, he’s been the President and CEO of Tennis Channel, helping usher the network into the digital age and making it THE Network for Tennis in America. And beyond that, one of the fastest growing networks in the country.

He never posted wins over Stan Smith, Arthur Ashe, Raul Ramirez or Jose Higueras, but he ball-boyed for them all. He never scored points off Martina Navritolova or Jim Courier but he runs the network they provide commentary on.

KEN SOLOMON breaks down his rise from performing magic tricks in borrowed loafers to helming the fastest growing network on TV. He tells us what its like to collaborate and compete with networks like ESPN. And he tells us why he’s confident we will be seeing the lost Djokovic tapes sometime in the future.
