That’s what high performance is to me, the ability to adapt rapidly so you can achieve your potential. There are five key pillars to creating the conditions for adaptability: sleep, exercise, mental resilience, nutrition, and community/relationships.” - Dr. Erik Korem   “I maybe have a different concept on leadership. To me, leading is a verb. If you’re leading, you’re a leader. If you’re swimming you’re a swimmer, if you’re driving you’re a driver. If you’re leading you’re by definition a leader. I define leading as being looked to in a particular moment to make a decision or perform an action based on your unique gifts and abilities. So by that definition, everybody is a leader. All rank and role really describe is how many people are hoping you get it right when it’s your turn to wear the weight.” - Clint Bruce "Attention is the currency of performance." - Dr. Peter Haberl “That’s what I’ve discovered in the lives of brilliant, prolific, healthy creatives, is that they have networks of people they leverage in the course of their work. That they learn from, that they were challenged by, that they gave great insight and purview into their own life and work, in such a way that they were able to receive feedback that helped them get better at what they do.” - Todd Henry "Restful and fulfilling sleep enables you to grow, adapt, and thrive. It creates the conditions for adaptation, so you can pursue audacious goals and thrive in uncertainty." - Dr. Erik Korem "Most exercise programs fail, not because the reps and sets are poorly designed, but because the program doesn't adjust for how much stress your body can adapt to that day!. That's why Dr. Chris Morris' research and practical application of fluid periodization is the key for unlocking your performance potential." - Dr. Erik Korem See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.

We were among a small group of early adopters when the world wide web was actually called the world wide web, and it was fun to talk with John about those days, and about the many places he’s traveled to in search of herps.  John's one of the OG internet herpers, and his trip reports and herp photos from around the world can be found at WildHerps.com, be sure to check it out!  John has also posted on the original Field Herp Forum in the past, and for a good example, here's his Thorny Devil Dreaming post - enjoy! Thanks so much for coming on the show, John!  And thanks for listening, everyone!  And as always, please keep the comments and suggestions coming, and please take time to rate the show on your podcast platform! Pro Soccer Player Sells 100 Houses Per Year As A Realtor | John Sullivan

Wealthy Way Podcast

On today’s podcast I had John Sullivan who is a realtor here in Las Vegas who is absolutely killing it! He did over 100 transactions by himself, which is enormous! You see a lot of teams do over 100 transactions, but for one man to do it by himself is crazy good! We talked how he did it, how he prospects. I’ll give you a hint - he does over 5 hours of cold calling per day! Even at this level of success, he’s still doing it. A lot of that came from his background as a pro-footballer, aka soccer. We talk about all of the skills he learned as an athlete, how he used that discipline and drive to take into real estate. He also came from England and has been doing this for the last six years. To have that amount of success in in a new country, in a new career, that quickly is absolutely insane. You guys are going to want to stay tuned to the end of this podcast because we talk about how he’s going to scale it even further and I also give my thoughts on where I think real estate is headed in 2030. More specifically, what the job of a realtor will look like! Between him and one other agent, they have closed 160 transactions this year, 115 of which were his! John talks about how Las Vegas has a very transient population, so that helps his business going! He went full time in professional soccer at only 16 years old! He got his first pro contract at 18 and played with 10 different clubs until he was 26 years old. He came to Las Vegas with his team. They went out one night and his cocktail server later became his wife! John explains how he thinks there’s more opportunity to make money in the USA compared to where he comes from in England. In England, people get paid once per month and are taxed about 45%! He bought his first property when he was 20 years old in England. John’s been interested in real estate for a long time at wanted to get one the property ladder young!John talks about how his two mentors were vital to his career and growth.
