Margaret Cho Takes Us from Comedy Duo with Sam Rockwell to Emmy Nominee - Collider Ladies Night

Collider Ladies Night

It feels like Margaret Cho’s done just about everything in the entertainment industry. She’s a Grammy nominee for her comedy work, an Emmy nominee for her performance on 30 Rock, she’s part of the voice cast of the Academy Award-nominated animated feature Over the Moon, and she’s been a contestant on two of the hottest reality TV shows out there - The Masked Singer and Dancing with the Stars. Suffice it to say, we had a lot to cover on Collider Ladies Night as we paved the way to her latest release, the FX documentary Hysterical. The Andrea Nevins-directed documentary puts the spotlight on the women making waves and making a difference in the comedy scene. Stand-up comedy has always been a male-dominated field, but Cho along with others featured in the film like Fortune Feimster, Nikki Glaser, Iliza Shlesinger and Sherri Shepherd are making the moves necessary to break boundaries and change the game moving forward.Check out this episode of Collider Ladies Night to hear all about Cho’s early days being part of a comedy duo with Sam Rockwell, advice she’d offer to up-and-coming actors leading their first project given her experience on All-American Girl, how much she admired Will Smith as a leader on the set of Bright, working with John Travolta on Face/Off, and more! Everyman Movie Reviews

Episode 94 of the Everyman Movie Review! I remember the '96 Centennial Park bombing - and I definitely remember the name Richard Jewell. You may not remember that name or the event - and if you do, you may remember them being intertwined. But do you remember the end of the story? Clint Eastwood brings us an unbelievably accurate portrayal of those historic events. Bring along Paul Walter Hauser, Sam Rockwell, Olivia Wilde, Jon Hamm, and Kathy Bates - I'm all in. Was I disappointed? Check out the episode to find out! Richard Jewell available on streaming. The Everyman Movie Review is a different kind of movie commentary - it's not about the art of movie-making, but rather about the enjoyment and entertainment of the film itself. It's not about me or my opinion, it's about the movie - does it deliver on what it promises? New episodes on Thursdays - subscribe to be notified when new episodes are available.
