The debut episode of Leading the Pride is finally here. Leading the Pride is Finlandia University’s newest podcast in the Finlandia Podcast Network. It is a monthly podcast that focuses on accomplished Suomi College and Finlandia University alumni.The first guest on the show is Asha Tyson ('90), a Suomi alumna who went from abused homeless teenager begging her way into college to Fortune 500 motivational speaker and international best selling author of the book, How I Retired at 26!. Tyson arrived at Suomi in the fall of 1987 after spending all her money on a one-way greyhound bus ticket and a bucket of chicken wings. She earned her associates in Liberal Arts from Suomi, and then went to Northern Michigan University and obtained her Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees.
