Glenn Clark Radio June 24, 2021 (Jordan Lawlar, Colin Tarbert, Scott Ratliff)

Glenn Clark Radio

The Orioles lost, Trae Young is awesome, we get another Game 7 in the NHL. What do we want out of a "new" arena if we're not going to get the NBA or the NHL? We discussed that in the first hour today, then late in the hour Baltimore Development Corporation President/CEO Colin Tarbert joined us to discuss how the project came about, what the realities are for the new building and more. Early in Hour 2, Texas HS shortstop Jordan Lawler, who many people believe COULD be the Orioles' selection with the fifth pick in the MLB Draft, joined us to discuss how prepared he'd be to become a "face" of the rebuild despite being so young. Great 8's Memorabilia's Kris Ruhling checked in to preview Sunday's "Tuckerfest" event and we wrapped the show by chatting with Archers LSM Scott Ratliff (Loyola) before the PLL returns to Homewood Field this weekend.

One and One Podcast

Scott Ratliff is a professional lacrosse player for Archers of the Premier Lacrosse League.  He played collegiately at Loyola University of Maryland from 2010-2013 and was a member of the 2012 National Championship team.  He talks about growing up in Marietta, Georgia, getting into lacrosse through his father, who was a great player at Maryland, and his great career at George Walton Comprehensive.  Scott discusses his recruiting process, getting told he was more fit for a mid-major, and his decision to attend Loyola.  He then talks about his great career there, where he was a two-time captain, an All-American, and holds several records as a long stickman.  He goes into detail about the terrific 2012 season, going 18-1, making it to the Final Four, and the irony of beating the University of Maryland in the National Championship game.  Scott explains how the Premier Lacrosse League came to be, his 8 professional seasons so far, and his love for coaching and growing the game in his free time.  He is a Personal Development Coach, and created a non-profit called the Give and Go Foundation, traveling to countries,  fundraising to help start programs, and creating scholarship funds.  Scott also enjoys writing poetry in his time and hopes to write a book one day.Check out the Give and Go Website: https://givegofund.com
