I have been fortunate to come in contact with many good people, some I can call a friend. Mark Butler is one of such people.
Mark is also from a family that has plenty of amazing stories when it comes to life, migration, and most important of all being an all-around good person. Mark is from one of those families that I would love to have featured together. You get to know why he is also a good sport.
Also, Cameroonian and Ghanaian folks know that only Irish and Nigerian Guinness counts this is not Jollof so not debatable!

I am joined today on Georgia REALTORS REALcast by Georgia's Labor Commissioner Mark Butler for an in-depth discussion of the Pandemic Unemployment Assistance (PUA) benefits, which are unemployment benefits that are now available to those who are not ordinarily eligible, including individuals who are self-employed, gig workers, 1099 independent contractors, employees of churches, employees of non-profits, or those with limited work history who do not qualify for state unemployment benefits. Commission Butler helps us to separate myth from fact about the PUA program, as well as clarify the eligibility and the application process. Thank you to Commissioner Butler for his generous sharing of his time during this time!

COMMISSIONER MARK BUTLER: Mark Butler became Georgia’s first Republican Commissioner of Labor on January 10, 2011. Commissioner Butler’s continuing goal is to create valuable workforce solutions through strategic alliances and community relationships. Butler has developed several new programs that have strengthened the Labor Department’s relationships between employers, job seekers, and Georgia’s future workforce.
In 2013, Butler created the Business Services Unit which helps businesses streamline the hiring process by creating job descriptions and recruiting job seekers. Staffed with experts in the field of recruiting, applicants are screened and referred to the company based upon their qualifications. As a former business owner, Butler understands the benefits of government agencies partnering with businesses to encourage economic growth.
Strongly believing that a prepared workforce is key to Georgia’s economic future, Butler has also incorporated a first of its kind program, GeorgiaBEST. GeorgiaBEST began as a high school based certificate program to help students become “work ready” based on their understanding of soft skills and vital work habits. GeorgiaBEST has become so successful that the Georgia Department of Labor has recently expanded the program to include GeorgiaBEST@School (Pre-K through Post-Secondary), GeorgiaBEST@Work, and GeorgiaBEST@Home.
A native of Carrollton, Georgia, Butler graduated from Auburn University with a degree in Public Administration. Commissioner Butler and his family are members of Tabernacle Baptist Church in Carrollton.

Welcome to the 20th episode. I decided to try something unique and get a panel to have a chat around the largest sport in the immigrant community, which is football, also known as soccer to many. Two friends of the podcast in returning guests, Azam Ayub and first-timer Mark Butler, join me in the studio for this special occasion.
It's not just soccer that we ended up talking about over a few beers. We also brought up some childhood memories, even realizing that as kids, we started developing talents thanks to the game. History, racism, club vs. country and more experiences get explored. Mark drops a gem at the very end too. I can't thank both guests enough.
Thank you all for your support. Keep sharing the love a lot!
Do you need a CFO to help you manage the money in your business? If you’re having trouble keeping track of your business finances, you need to make sure you know exactly how to use your revenue projections in order to stimulate business growth rather than set yourself up for failure.
Mark Butler has come up more than a few times on The Get Paid Podcast, and for good reason! He’s worked with the likes of Rachael Cook, Rachel Rodgers, and Brooke Castillo. He’s that good. We’re taking a trip in the Way Back Machine to the first season of The Get Paid Podcast to hear what Mark has to say about money management and business.

If you're like me, you've heard the talk: “Evergreen funnels aren't effective. Only certain types of businesses can actually sell on autopilot”. But, that's not true at all. I’ve made $50,000 in revenue with Mariah Coz’s evergreen funnel strategies.
Now, you can walk through her entire system in her free class: ‘How To Sell More Courses With An Evergreen Sales Funnel’. It's kinda insane how detailed she gets in this training. Visit clairepells.com/ee to get it right now.
