Stop Letting Self-Doubt Stall your Dreams and Give Yourself Permission to Go For It, with Guest, Gaynete Jones, Founder and CEO of the Best Periodt Brand EP290

ProjectME with Tiffany Carter – Entrepreneurship & Millionaire Mindset

This is fastest way to kill your dreams…many of you are doing it right now! You saw this today at just the right time because Universe is giving you a giant wake up call sis. I need to let you in on a little secret, none of really know what we are doing all the time, even those of us who have achieved high levels of success. We certainly didn’t know WTF we were doing when we got started, and it was terrifying…there were a ton of mistakes, mishaps, and disappointments….but we kept showing up REGARDLESS of how we were feeling. Self-doubt is what has most of you stuck today. Stuck in a job that is no longer fulfilling you, or never did. Stuck in your business, and can’t seem to gain any consistent momentum. Stuck with ideas and dreams for your business, and not able to get yourself into any consistent action. Sound familiar? It’s not that I don’t have many moments of self-doubt and “WTF am I even doing?” days, I’m equally as human and crazy-brained as you fools. The difference is, I don’t allow my self to lean into the self-doubt, and it’s a choice. We control our thoughts and behaviors. But I don’t attempt this difficult task on my own. I surround my self with personal coaches, friends, and a grade A team who help keep my ass in check. Otherwise,  if left to my own stinkin’ thinkin’ I would end up in the self-doubt shame spin heading to Stucktown, USA. I want you to hear the story of a woman who had all the odds stacked against her, got hit with blow and blow and blow, and she still kept going. Gaynete Jones is the Founder and CEO of GAME Changing Industries and the revolutionary brand Best, Periodt. She has been featured everywhere from Forbes, to CBS, to The Huffington Post to Black Enterprise. Mark my words, this woman will have a billion dollar brand…..and she knows it too. 23 - Making Quantum Leaps In Your Personal Brand w/ Gaynete Jones

She Sells Radio

Welcome back to the Instant Impact Podcast with your host, Elyse Archer! Today’s guest is Gaynete' (Edwards) Jones, a leading Millennial mentor, motivational speaker, best-selling author, blogger, YouTuber, founder of G.A.M.E. Changing Industries, and creator of The Book Boss Blueprint and The Goal Chaser VIP. Gaynete's mission is to help Millennial women turn their passions into profit, creating a life of comfort, fulfilment, and freedom for themselves. In this episode, she shares her incredible story and offers some tactical tips for building a brand based on adding value through genuine connection.  Gaynete’s story is an inspirational journey of realization and growth. As a student, Gaynete was held at gunpoint by a band of crooked cops in South America. It was this humbling experience that opened her eyes to what really mattered. With this experience as a foundation, she explains that everyone has “hostage” situations—one where they may feel trapped. It’s in those moments that we assess our priorities. Her own priorities were brought front and center when her parents were both diagnosed with cancer. These events shifted something inside her. By taking little steps every day, she was able to snowball into bigger steps, leading to her finishing her best-selling book in just under three months. This “deathbed” perspective forces you to think about what you want your legacy to be, and that’s a key part of success.  Gaynete offers insight into kicking complacency. She says motivation ebbs and flows. It’s natural to have moments where there’s no motivation at all. What’s important, though, is to remember that the results are the same regardless of motivation. The first step, she says, is to surround yourself with people who are doing things—those who are successful. Connect in real life or on social media and build a brand through the channels you form.  Gaynete gives us her tips for intentional audience building:  Post 1-2 minute focused videos every day. Encourage your audience to respond or write back.  Reach out to pages with larger audiences to boost your following. Comment on resonating posts from large pages with something that will add value. This will bring traffic towards your page. Post simple infographics! These are helpful and more shareable.  Try to answer questions or respond to every comment. Continue the conversation in DMs!  What you’ll learn in this episode In this episode, you’ll gain some tactical tips for building a brand based on adding value through genuine connection, how to maneuver out of ‘hostage situations,’ and kick complacency by assessing your priorities.  Links Connect with Gaynete on Social Media @Gaynete  Gaynete.com Request a free Brand Strategy Call: http://thebrandbuildersgroup.com/callelyse

Ep 27. Don’t let anyone define who you are, PERIOD - with Gaynete Jones

The Goal Standard

Today we’re talking to best-selling author, motivational speaker  Gayneté Jones, a Bermudian who is also charting her own path.  This episode is extra special to me because I get to share more stories of another successful Bermudian Woman!  It's really amazing to put my country on the map in ways that haven't been done before.  Gayneté started taking part in international experiences when she was in her teens.   While living in Venezuela, she was held hostage by police officers, and it was at this point that she realized that nothing is guaranteed.    After moving back to Bermuda, she enrolled in a college program but ended up getting pregnant.  Even though she was technically a teen mom at 19, she didn’t let statistics define what she could or couldn’t be.  Most people write you off in terms of what you’ll be able to achieve after having a baby so young, but Gayneté wasn’t having that She eventually found the start of what would be her passion and began writing her first book.  Then, tragedy struck.  Listen to the episode for more. In this episode we talk about: What it’s like to grow up in Bermuda Getting out of your comfort zone Not letting other people define your journey Pivoting in your career and business Having an exit strategy when leaving your full-time job Glow Up Tool Kit Freedom Slay Inner Circle Lucky Code by Gayneté Jones Sign up for The Glow Up Summit!
