How To Start A Successful Business at 17 Years Old – Jeet Banerjee

Viral by Design

Jeet Banerjee was able to put up his own company when he was 17 years old. He started out building websites when he was 9 years old, did a lot of self-study, and practiced these ideas which helped him gain diverse experiences. He has sold a number of his companies, currently helping people earn money online by replicating what he’s been able to do with eCommerce, and has gained around 20 celebrity clients. Find out more about Jeet’s story and his valuable inputs on working on your passion no matter what age. 3 Key Points Learning through experience is the best teacher.Understand and recognize what you like doing for your business. For anything that you don’t have a passion for, look into leveraging other experts who can take care of it for you. You don’t need to take on every role.Stop making excuses or talk yourself out of your business idea and goals. Cliff notes Jeet started creating a website when he was 9 years old because he wanted to collate basketball videos, and by 13 years old, he was into gaming and figured out different ways to monetize. He took a job while he was 15 and realized he wasn’t fit to be an employee and wanted to be his own boss. He started JB Media Force at 17 and was driven to succeed so he could provide for himself. He learned online marketing through his clients. It’s better to learn online marketing by doing it hands-on for somebody else than going the more expensive route where you learn and build your own. Know which sides of the business you are passionate about. Marketing, closing deals and sales were the three aspects of the business that Jeet enjoyed doing. You can outsource or hire someone to do the other stuff that you don’t enjoy doing so much. In Jeet’s case, it was project management, building the website, and client support that he found no passion in. He hired freelancers and eventually built an offshore team to handle the other aspects of the business. They developed software that would let high school students plugin their education details and test scores which would provide results on which universities they are likely to get into. They sold this company in 2017. He received a proposal to replicate what he was doing for himself. Since he was not into the idea of being hired, he proposed to do a partnership instead where he’d do certain aspects of the business, and the partner would leverage their brand. Since then they’ve received a lot of referrals and increased their partnership to about 20 celebrity clients. Lack of action or fear and procrastination are the two things that Jeet has noticed that keeps aspiring entrepreneurs becoming successful. After all those experiences, Jeet has seen how time should be valued more than ever. He realized how he just kept on saying ‘yes’ when he was younger and that he wished he said no more often. His perception of money has changed over the years. He was reserved about taking risks on investments and focused on making more money and preserving it when he was starting out. All experiences are preparations to reach the end goal. Treat those ups and downs as meant to be. Jeet Banerjee on how to build your ecommerce brand quickly and efficiently

The Process Podcast

The Process Podcast is hosted by Jeff Sherman My guest today is a Serial Entrepreneur, Tech Expert, Consultant, Author, Blogger, and TEDx Speaker. He started his first company, JB Media Force, at 17 and immediately began picking up clients. He established an offshore team to handle the projects while taking care of sales here in the US. He sold that company and quickly began working on another project, and in February 2012, he launched StatFuse along with his partner which he sold in 2017 to LendEDU. Now, he’s working on launching a couple of other online and ecommerce businesses. In addition to this, he has a goal of helping others to find their purpose in life and achieving massive success. In this episode, we cover several key topics including: KEY TOPICS How to build your ecommerce brand quickly and efficiently 3 tips when choosing a good dropship supplier Understand who you are competing with The hiring process to build your A-Team SHOW NOTES: My best advice for bringing on a new team member is “Hire fast and fire faster” [03:45] “The best ability is availability” -- we can train you in everything else [04:35] After I drove massive traffic to my client’s site and made them over $100k profits, I realized I could be doing this for myself and build out my own brand and products [06:00] Dropshipping is the best way to start your own brand. It lowers the risk of having inventory [07:25] We started off with one drop shipper and as we scaled we made relationships with multiple dropshippers just in case one supplier is unable to deliver [09:00] Aliexprss in China is best dropshipper because you can set up a store in 2hrs and they dropship the fastest [09:00] When you have a product that is selling really well, you can then diversify and find additional suppliers from North America and Europe [09:45] For entrepreneurs that are starting in ecommerce, Shopify is a good choice [11:00] Ecomlegacybrand.com is my training course for how to get your Shopify store up and running in 2hrs [11:15] To compete, I always ask my suppliers how fast they can ship items, what’s the quality, how much brand control do I have? [13:00] A drawback of using Amazon Fulfillment is that they keep all the data of your customers a secret. Only they can see it [13:50] Whereas with Shopify you get to see all of the data from your customer’s email address, physical address and buying behavior. You can then use that to market to them  [14:30] Smaller brands will need to go for exposure and impulse buyers on places like Facebook where we can get people’s attention through ads [16:10] We’re in the Chasing Game and we compete with better, more creative, and thoughtful marketing [16:25] We primary use Facebook Ads and social media platforms [17:00] Leave an imprint with one thing [18:00] CONNECT WITH Instagram @thejeetbanerjee For more episodes of The Process Podcast visit us at www.theprocessshow.com

Jeet Banerjee | Creating Systems With Manufacturers For E-Commerce Brands

Get The Bag Life

Jeet Banerjee is a TEDx speaker, entrepreneur, and founder of Income Incubator. He realized when he was in high school that he didn't want to work for anybody because the feeling of being "replaced" by another person didn't feel right. After dabbling with website development at his own company JB Media Force, Jeet Banerjee stumbled upon eCommerce. This business model of eCommerce gave him autonomy and ever since it has stuck with him.Like many dropshippers, the game is to find a winning product from a manufacturer in Asia. However, Jeet took a different approach to use local manufacturers here in the US and offering great product delivery, which is something you cannot really do if you ship directly from Asia.By communicating with manufacturers, Jeet Banerjee is able to deliver unique products to the market while creating a brand experience and having them become a distributor as well. In other words, Jeet has created a system around the logistics to make and deliver quality products to his customers. In fact, Jeet Banerjee's model is so successful that he has over a dozen eCommerce stores and counting. His ambition is to grow this number by acquiring other eCommmerce brands because starting a new one from scratch can be a long process. If you would like to check him out, you can find Jeet Banerjee here:InstagramPersonal WebsiteTwitterCheck out Get The Bag Life and Hit us up!InstagramTik TokLinkedInTwitterFacebookBlogPinterest
