  • With the rise of DIY website builders such as Wix and Squarespace, web designers have found themselves increasingly having to haggle with customers, who are often short of funds at the beginning of their journey. This subsequently leads to web designers undercutting themselves in order to compete, and ultimately cut corners.

  • There is a real underestimation of what a website is. It’s not just a static page, but a collection of operations and systems behind the scenes, too.

  • The problem with using social media as your base of operations, is that you’re never fully in control. You don’t have any control over algorithms, and you can never plan for costs as you are subject to any price rises imposed there.

  • When designing your website, make sure you do it for the customer, and not for yourself. Profile your audience, ask them questions, and design with them in mind.

  • You need to grab your audience’s attention within three seconds, when it comes to your website. Make sure your call to action is instant and powerful, and get those people converting!

  • Marketing your website is equally as important as creating your website. you could have the best website in the world, but it’s no good if people don’t know about it.
