Episode 115: Chris Miller - Vision: God’s prophetic ministry to the imaginations of our heart - 3 July 2022

Tribe Byron Bay

Does God minister to the imaginations of our hearts? Yes! In this podcast, Christopher takes us through some of the many biblical accounts of God ministering to our hearts and the visions we hold there. God’s prophetic ministry to our imagination is a ministry to our hearts. It’s a combination of firstly exposing what’s in the heart, limiting our vision, and encouraging us to let go of those imaginations. Secondly, energising us towards receiving God’s ways and God’s vision in the imaginations of our hearts. For us to engage in this ministry our hearts need to soften before God. This is done through persevering in our faith, abiding in God’s loving presence and beholding God’s Word. Allowing His Word to paint pictures in our hearts of what it looks like to live in full agreement with what His Word promises.  God is wanting to build up our awareness of imagination and how it connects to our hope, faith and the realisation of God’s promises. It’s time for the church to not shrink back but instead boldly and creatively live from God’s vision in the imaginations of our hearts.

68 - Chris Miller

Is Breakfast Included?

This week we sit down to shoot the shit with my good buddy, Chris "Hollywood" Miller. Chris is a monitor engineer who I’ve known and traveled with for the past six years, and he’s one of the most stand-up guys I know in the business. In our conversation we discuss his intro to recording, landing his first production gig, and how he literally ran off and joined the circus! Chris is great guy who’s always willing to lend a hand, and I'm grateful he spent time on his day off to chat with me.

WTH is Putin doing in Ukraine? AEI’s Chris Miller on Biden’s response as Eastern Europe teeters on the brink of war

What the Hell Is Going On

In what is arguably the most serious crisis in Eastern Europe since the end of the Cold War, Russia has positioned more than 100,000 troops along Ukraine’s border and has sparked fears of an invasion. With tensions at a high, the US and its allies have warned the Kremlin that any invasion will be met with “massive consequences” and “severe economic costs.” A new round of talks is set to begin in Paris this week, but Russia and the West have yet to find a diplomatic solution to the crisis.Chris Miller joined Marc and Dany to discuss the Russian military mobilization at the Ukrainian border, a potential Russian invasion, Putin’s intentions in Ukraine, and how the US and its allies should respond.Chris Miller is a Jeane Kirkpatrick Visiting Fellow at the American Enterprise Institute, where he focuses on Russian foreign policy, politics, and economics; Russia and Ukraine; Russian-European relations; and Eurasia. He also focuses on semiconductors and the geopolitics of technology. Concurrently, Dr. Miller is assistant professor of international history at the Fletcher School at Tufts University and codirector of the school’s Russia and Eurasia Program. He is also the director of the Eurasia Program and a fellow at the Foreign Policy Research Institute (FPRI).Download the transcript here.
