Austrian Cinematographer, Peter Zeitlinger, worked as Director of Photography on Werner Herzog’s documentary, Death For Five Voices in 1995, continuing this collaboration up to Cave Of Forgotten Dreams and beyond.   Cave of Forgotten Dreams was shot in 3D inside the Chauvet caves of Southern France, capturing the oldest known pictorial creations of humankind in their natural setting.
