FTD Talk series 4 episode 8: Phil Mitchell talks about sexual abuse of boys
FTD Talk is hosted by John James, a writer and campaigner for male victims of female perpetrated domestic violence and advocate for men's mental health. In this episode Phil Mitchell talks about the sexual abuse of boys including how to spot abuse, the gender bias when dealing with victims of abuse and the language we use when talking to male abuse survivors. This last point made me think about my own language and has altered how I communicate. I found this conversation fascinating, I hope you do too.
How do we work with sexually abused men? Phil Mitchell challenges prejudices around male sexuality and therapy.

001 - Giant Dog Poo and the Evolution of Phil Mitchell with Alan Irwin
The Sane Asylum
The first episode of the podcast! How exciting. The audio from my end gets better after this episode because I am an absolute boob and accidentally recorded from the wrong mic. I chatted to Alan Irwin about a variety of subjects, such as dog poo, comedy, Eastenders and we also touched on mental health, because that's something I feel strongly about and will be a theme going forward. Hope you enjoy it!
