"It is not your job to be liked"- Childhood Anxiety and Taking Care of the Nurturer- Megan B. Bartley, MAMFT

Crazy Zen Life

The title of this episode says it all. Megan B. Bartley is BACK and she is here to help the zen community look deeper into what is creating a rise in childhood anxiety and what we can start doing today to help our kids.  SPOILER! It most likely can start with you and that is not a bad thing.  As Megan explains, all kids exist within numerous systems and the most important system is the one at home.  Added stress throughout the last year has left many of the nurturers of the household on emotional empty.  Who is nurturing the nurturer? During this episode you might ask yourself a lot of probing questions. What is my parenting temperature? Can I take a step back? Is anyone dying? We think this is a much needed therapy session with Megan to help unlock exactly what the nurturer needs right now.  Megan B Bartley IG Megan B Bartley Website

One of the biggest struggles as a parent is getting our children to sleep.  After a long day and our parent tank is on empty. We usually feel anxious, exhausted, and most of all frustrated.  Megan Bartley was in the same boat and she stumbled across positive language that helped her daughter drift to dreamland in a calm relaxing manner. So, Megan decided to put her technique in a book for all to use titled, "Don't Go To Sleep." She even founded the Louisville Mindfulness Center.  This center specializes in bringing joy and peace into the lives of others through mindful practices.
