Two women fall into a cycle of changing their appearance in order to find happiness."I Want To Be Like You" is a science-fiction inspired, thriller short about body image and the pressures young women place on themselves to meet societally-imposed beauty standards. It examines the internal conflict that women face in a world inundated with media overly critical of female beauty and form. Through this, we follow two young women seeking satisfaction through altering their appearances.Ultimately, the theme is about happiness or the lack thereof; where we seek it and how illusive it can be if we place it outside ourselves.
