They help pay for the production of this podcast.  You can support this podcast by going to Patreon.com/CountingCountries.  Ted shares how his collection of stamps propelled him around the globe.  Like many other 193ers, he likes to collect and create lists.  Country Counting can be another outlet for this passion.  Ted shares many of his experiences including cutting his trip short in Socotra during the beginnings of Covid.  And also a big thanks to Tony Wheeler for doing the guest introduction. Ted and I met up for incredible hamburgers at Lux Bar and then recorded this episode in the City of Big Shoulders.  Please listen in and enjoy. Subscribe on Apple Podcasts today!! Drinking The Cool Aid

In November, 1873, 21 men headed for the gold field in Breckenridge, Colorado.  Their guide, Alferd Packer, ended up being terrible with directions.  The weather was awful and the men ran out of provisions pretty fast.  They began splitting the group up and Alferd was in charge of guiding 5 men through the mountains.  Unfortunately, Alferd was the only one of his group to make it out alive.  He told many stories about his journey and people began noticing the inconsistencies.  Alferd finally admitted that the other men had been killed and even though his story kept changing, there was cannibalism involved.https://www.drinkingthecoolaid.com/https://ratethispodcast.com/coolaid
