In the Gospel of Luke, we meet two such troubled disciples. As they walk along the road, they open their hearts to a stranger who listens to their tale. They invite him into their home. They sit at the table, and the stranger breaks bread with them. Their eyes are opened, and they recognise the stranger as the risen Christ.

I honestly don't know what's wrong with Rich Wilson. By which I mean that he is a joyous artist and, having fallen prey to the trope of the "tortured artist" so many times in my life, I find his persistent good cheer hard to understand. I also feel an incredibly deep kinship with this man on the other side of the ocean who I think I've actually only hung out with in person twice. Rich's podcast, Insane in the Men Brain is brilliant enough that I consider it canon for my own podcast, by which I mean that I intend to rip it off as mercilessly as possible. As soon as I broke down and finally decided to do this silly thing, I knew I had to get Rich on as one of my first guests. Rich Wilson is a multi award winning comedian and podcast host. Films To Be Buried With with Brett Goldstein
LOOK OUT! It’s only Films To Be Buried With!Join your host Brett Goldstein as he talks life, death, love and the universe with comic, podcaster and writer RICH WILSON!I would be remiss if I didn’t mention that Rich and Brett go back a while in their real life friendship too. A lovely episode which is of course fueled by Rich’s warm and attentive ear and attitude, which you yourself might have become friends with in listening to his mental health / comedy podcast ‘Insane In The Men Brain’ (award for best title right there) - so it’s fascinating to hear about the movies that make Rich do all the human things that come with watching films… Yes including THAT question. A lovely one, including everything from beard faces to half century milestones to physical special effects to the Statham genre - have fun!RICH LINKSINSANE IN THE MEN BRAINTWITTERINSTAGRAMHOMEOTHER RICH LINKSBRETT GOLDSTEIN on TWITTERBRETT GOLDSTEIN on INSTAGRAMBRETT GOLDSTEIN on PATREONTED LASSOSOULMATESSUPERBOB (Brett's 2015 feature film)CORNERBOYS with BRETT & SCROOBIUS PIPDISTRACTION PIECES NETWORK on FACEBOOKDISTRACTION PIECES NETWORK on INSTAGRAMSupport this show http://supporter.acast.com/filmstobeburiedwith. Are you carrying a grudge? Who are you struggling to get on with? The call to action to ‘love one another’ is the core message of the Bible. Love can sometimes be thought of as a feeling - and in a sense that’s true - but love is a choice we have to make each time we think, act and speak. When we choose to love those around us we start to see them as God sees them. Love helps us frame each decision we make.
