National African American Gun Association President Philip Smith on Biden's ATF Nominee David Chipman
The Weekly Reload Podcast
This week, I'm joined by Philip Smith who is the head of the National African American Gun Association. He talks about President Joe Biden's (D.) nominee to head the ATF, David Chipman, and the allegations of racism levied against him by former agents. Smith says Chipman is the wrong man for the job and talks about why the acting director is a better pick. Smith also responds to recent assertions that the Second Amendment itself is the result of racism. He also discusses the group's Supreme Court brief calling for the end of New York's restrictive "may-issue" concealed carry law due to the historically racist use of such laws. And he gives an update on the group's growth as well as the growth in black gun ownership over the past year. Plus, I give an update on the horrific situation in Afghanistan including new gun confiscation efforts by the Taliban. And The Reload's newest contributing writer Jake Fogleman stops by to introduce himself!Special Guest: Philip Smith.

Rob McConnell Interviews - Philip Smith - Walking Through Walls
The 'X' Zone Radio/TV Show
The only son of Lew and Esther Smith - a successful and renowned interior design visionary and a high society figurine - Philip Smith was no stranger to the culture of American art and lifestyle. However, as the climate of his native Miami took sharp political turns, a la Castro-ism and the Cuban Missile Crisis, his family life took sharper ones. Somewhere in between design consultations with Walt Disney and cocktails with the Nixons, Smith's father began to recognize powerful psychic healing abilities within himself. Interior design went from his profession to his marginal duty; something he did when he wasn't busy using his deep healing energy to remove tumors and perform exorcisms…and in true Lew Smith fashion, he led his category. Smith describes his father's newfound prominence in the psychic realm: "All of a sudden he was on the A-list party circuit for the deceased." So is the story of Walking Through Walls (Atria/Simon & Schuster), a collection of precise and poignant recollections from Smith's fascinating upbringing. For Smith, teenage angst took on new meaning, as his actions were frequently criticized by his father's "spirit guides" - a network of diseased scholars and healers he regarded as friends and teachers. Having your mind read by your father on a daily basis certainly took the fun out of surfing, sex and Scientology. Walking Through Walls is currently available at www.amazon.com, and will be released in paperback version in November 2009. Northern Ireland is better off being part of the UK, with Philip Smith
Money & Plants
In this episode I speak to a senior Ulster Unionist Politician, Philip Smith about some of the arguments for N Ireland to remain in the UK. Over the last twelve months we have seen a range of people, podcasts and events talking about the benefits of Irish Unity, but we haven't seen much energy from the Unionist side in this regard. Enter United UK, a Pro Union campaign group, and one of it's founding members Philip Smith. One of the objectives of United UK, is to package up the benefits of NI remaining in the Union, and going after the 20% of people who might be voting in any upcoming border poll, but haven't decided on who to vote for. In what turned out to be a wide ranging open discussion, we talk about the new UUP leader Doug Beattie, the rejuvenation of the party, the NI Centenary year, the NI Protocol and finishing up talking about why Philip believes NI is better off staying in the UK. I really enjoyed chatting to Philip, and as I said in the conversation, I welcome him and groups like United UK and would encourage them to get stuck into the body of peer reviewed work that is required, if they want to underscore and validate their arguments over the next few years. If you enjoyed the show, please let me know at firstname.lastname@example.org and remember to leave me a review and share the pod with someone you think might be interested in the subject matter. Look after yourself and speak to you soon CD ☘
