Lessons In Obedience With Tasia Percevecz of CrossFit Mayhem Freedom
Perspective Through Pain
Thank you for joining the podcast! Today's conversation features Tasia Percevecz with CrossFit Mayhem Freedom in Cookeville, Tennessee. When she’s not training with probably the best CrossFit team on the planet, she is enjoying coffee—a lot of it—chatting with friends and hiking. We talk about what pain teaches you in competition and in life, as well as what a difficult medical setback is showing her about obedience. You can follow Tasia on Instagram @tasiapercevecz. Its all on the Perspective Through Pain Podcast where we encourage you—have the boldness to not settle for what’s good, but go for what’s best.
Tasia Percevecz | Discovering Freedom Through Obedience
The FAITH + FITNESS Podcast by FAITH RXD
In our conversation today, Tasia exhibits a heavenly perspective of life and is experiencing the comfort that comes when we act out of obedience and trust God with the outcomes. It’s really easy to get caught up in trying to control outcomes because we have an earthly and human perspective. But as believers, we’re called to have a heavenly perspective. We go through things that will never make sense from a human standpoint, but from a heavenly standpoint make all the sense in the world. Those details aren’t always ours to know while we’re here. We have a choice to either get wrapped up in the unknown, or just surrender it all to God and go about living for him, trusting that he’s got it figured out, and living with the relief of knowing we don’t have to. Heaven is going to be awesome. And if we realized how awesome it’s going to be, we wouldn’t waste our time trying to force life to make sense the way we want it to. We are literally incapable of coming up with something as awesome as heaven. It’s a great episode. As always, if you have ideas for the podcast, or people you want us to chat with, please don’t hesitate to shoot us an email at email@example.com
Joining us on this episode is the legendary CrossFit competitor Tasia, who is now part of Team Mayhem Freedom. She is fit, funny, and full of awesome podcast material. Join in and hear about Hawaii, her CrossFit Games coaching experience, and Army Warrior Fitness experience.
On January 20 Tasia Percevecz announced that she would be surrendering the 2021 season to the Lord and will support her teammates. Tasia has become one of my favorite crossfit athletes and follows on social media. I have a lot of thoughts about this because I made a similar decision in the course of my life. That's what led me to ministry and, ultimately, Faithfully Fit.
Tasia and Haley are training partners in Cookeville Tennessee along side Rich Froning. But for the 2020 CrossFit Games, they were "Coach" and Athlete. At 19 years old Haley Adams competed for her 2nd time as an individual, and Tasia Percevecz traveled with her to Aromas California to coach and support her. Dave and Chad get to hear from both about what competing in the 2020 Games was like.
